MOT Failure
My car failed it's MOT today, repair bill is in excess of £700.00
They say the break pads / discs etc,. etc,. have all failed the MOT.
I'm on a DMP and have nowhere near £700.00 but I need my car for work due to the shift pattern and distance I have to travel (40 miles one way)
This is a long shot, but any have suggestions?

Oh dear. How long has the old MOT got to run? Enough time to get a 2nd opinion?0

Could you give an idea of the age/value of your car.
If its old then maybe better to look for a new one, some really good deals out there and neednt cost you too much a month, if you can spare it.
Otherwise can you get a second quote on having the work done or ask someone to do it on 'the side'.:j

Think we need a bit more detail on what else the car failed on?
If it was just the brakes then depending on the car it shouldn't really be more than £50- £70 a corner (ie +/- £200 - £280 inc labour)0 -
get another opinion0
