They actually moved it from the Mall - probably offered preferential rental to get them to move to the Atrium cos Next moved too. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Ah right! I don't go into Camberley that often, as you can probably see :rotfl:0

I was at York Designer Outlet today (McCarthur Glen) and Zavvi had its shutters half down so you couldn't go in and they were removing all the stock from the shelves.0

Have you not learnt anything from the whole Woolworths episode ?
Number 1, discounts will be UP TO 50% but the up to will be in the teeny tiniest print so you can't see it. The gullible press will report it as a 50% sale but the only things that will be 50% are utter rubbish that has been lying around unsold for years already. Anything worthwhile will only be small discounts like 10 or 20%.
Number 2, all the prices will be high, any previous promotions / reductions will have been dropped and all items will be priced at full RRP. Even with the discounts prices are likely to be more expensive than you can get on-line.
Before you go wasting your money in another fake sale run by Administrators who's only interest is to extract as much money as they can from gullible shoppers make sure you know how much something really costs. Try sites like https://www.find-dvd.co.uk and see if what you are interested in buying can be got cheaper already.0 -

i am a staff member lucky enough to have kept my job today, im posting here because if it stops one customer being damn right rude to me, with complaints of the fact they were told it was 50% off everything then it will have been a success.
cds, games and dvds will be 20% off
tshirts and books £30% off
vinyl 50%
no reduction on hardware
all stock that currently is in a sale will have these discounts.
as for the stores that closed today, the stock is being distributed to other stores.0 -

Absolutely bang on - even in the last few days of Woolies the prices on shelf for DVDs and PC games, at supposed 50% reduction, was STILL more than you could get stuff from HMV.Have you not learnt anything from the whole Woolworths episode ?

The only things we bought in the last days of Woolies were plastic wallets, mints and flip-top lollies. All the other stuff was still overpriced. Any Zavvi sale will be similar - Joe Public who don't have web access or who aren't savvy enough will be fooled and will buy from them, but smart MSErs will probably find it isn't worth their time to visit Zavvi. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0
