I have just returned from Marley & Me - what a fabulous film!! It is not often that you get a film that can have you laughing one minute and blubbing like a baby the next!! The first ten minutes was a bit slow though..but stick with it...its great!
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)

I went to see marley and me in Cardiff i'm not really an animal lover but i did have a really good cry at the end and heard a lot of stifled sobs unlike a lot of films lately which i have watched half heartedly i really was wrapped up in this one, we were laughing because it's the 4th film in a row which has had dogs in after Bolt, Dogs Hotel and Space buddies this was easily the most enjoyable.

Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but I think Marley got expelled from training classes! I think labradors take a long time to grow up - they can remain boisterous for a long time. Ours only slowed down as they got older! We've had two, a yellow and a chocolate. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with your black one - they are very affectionate, loyal and loving and worth a chewed armchair or two!

quote=jules1964;19333301]lol Can I just make an annoucement lol since this is the discussion thread!!! lol

I got myself my own Marley over the weekend!!! A cute little black labrador puppy!!! he looks just like Marley but is black!! We are going tomorrow to see Marley so I can see what my little fella will be capable of doing after training classes lol

sorry I know this is a bit off topic, but wanted to share my news as its topical lol

You were right about the training lol

Brilliant film, and I sobbed my heart out and nearly had to leave! My cat was put down last month and it was exactly the same storyline, ill, nearly died, makes a recovery only to get sick again a week later and then be put down. The vet in the film was almost saying the same stuff that was said to us!!

My poor hubby and I were trying hard to control the tears!

A great film, but not good if you have had a pet put down recently as we found out to our cost!!!
Never argue with a fool, they will lower you to their level and then beat you with experience.........!!!:rotfl::T

just to clarify that I watched marley and me around 2 months ago, downloaded a very good quality one from the net and the movie was absolutely atrocious. All this hype is incredible to get people in the cinemas but bad words spread like wildfire.
Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"

Sorry to hear about your cat - my dog was put down this time last year and apart from being a different breed he was Marley. From him being the unwanted one in his litter and the squeals on the first night enabling him to sleep in the bedroom to the dragging me everywhere on his lead, chewing up everything and training classes being no success!! As he got older he was also exactly the same he couldnt get upstairs anymore so slept downstairs and then got tired on walks etc. until eventually he just got quite unwell due to his age and we had to have him put down. It was like watching his life unfold in two hours! The tears were rolling down my cheeks! Heard alot of other people sniffing away in the audience too!
