I took my 7 year old son along to Marley and Me last night. I had warned him before hand what happened in the end and about it not being really etc.. but he was sobbing his little heart out! When we got home he wouldn't leave our dog alone and wanted her to sleep in his bed! We both thought it was good on the humour side though, lots of slapstick style laughs to be had but I'm glad I didn't wear any mascara!2010 Comp wins: Lamaze baby toy, Cushelle koala, Frusli bars, knitted monkey, nursery rhyme DVD
Christmas sorted for my LO (apart from Frusli bars - they're mine!)0 -

Any idea why the Vue Cinema's have disappeared off the free codes these days? It'll cost me as much in parking, fuel and tunnel fares to watch the free films in Liverpool than it would to pay for a local ticket! They say that football is a religion, if this is true I worship at the Exacta Stadium, Chester0

saw Marley and me on Tuesday, thought it was brilliant. Cried buckets much to the delight of my 11yr old son! (never seen mum cry before!) would recommend it to anyone looking to see a feel good film. Lots of laugh out loud moments. Having had a puppy I could really relate to the story and found myself nodding along at some of the dogs antics thinking, "Yeah, remember that!!"0

bevd77,
You need amend your subscription to the thread:
1.When you're in the codes thread, go to the top of the thread where it says "Thread Tools"
2. Then select the option that says "Subscribe to this thread"
3. Select the dropdown box that says "Instant notification by email" as you may have selected "no email notification" by mistake.
That should sort it.
Saw Marley & Me last night.. was enjoyable but glad I didnt pay for it.

I haven't seen it but I have seen the adverts and this is exactly what I thought!
I thought about taking my boyf as he has a possesive, annoying lab himself and I thought it might be nice for him to see (his dog is getting on a bit now and I thought it might prepare him for the inevitable
) but realised on seconds thoughts seeing him laugh when the dog is behaving badly and generally being annoying would just wind me up.
The clip in the ad where they're in the bedroom and the guy doesn't want to tell the dog to leave.. well, for me that would be the end of the relationship, people come first! (no pun intended:o )0 -

Well I guess the people who left in tears are like myself, animal lovers.
My dog is a labrador puppy and reminds me of Marley, and he is certainly not annoying. Anyone who has had a lovely pet and lost it can relate to the film. People who arent that in to animals probably wont.
There is your answer lolNever argue with a fool, they will lower you to their level and then beat you with experience.........!!!:rotfl::T0
