I went into work and everybody asked "was it good" I replied "the dog died" .....I spent the day alone what did I say?
    The years starts today ....
  • I know I'm going to be the same. We had our lab put down almost 2 years ago now and we still miss him everyday. Still, Marley'e early days will bring back happy memories too. I guess not everyone will dig the film - you're either a doggie person or you're not.
Good luck with your bundle of fluff (with the lead weight tale!)

You were right about the training lol

Brilliant film, and I sobbed my heart out and nearly had to leave! My cat was put down last month and it was exactly the same storyline, ill, nearly died, makes a recovery only to get sick again a week later and then be put down. The vet in the film was almost saying the same stuff that was said to us!!

My poor hubby and I were trying hard to control the tears!

A great film, but not good if you have had a pet put down recently as we found out to our cost!!!

Just back from the IMAX watching Watchmen. What a HUGE disappointment. I'm not gonna spoil it by revealing the plot (largely cos it's one of the most confusing slow stories I've seen).

I read that it was compared to Sin City... this film isn't fit to be mentioned in the same sentence. One of those where I thank my lucky stars that I didn't have to pay to watch it.

had a feeling it wouldn't be up to the hype- haven't seen it but it was a very specialised comic in my opinion, bit like hellboy/spawn- you either love it or hate it

can't imagine:rolleyes: sound like my lovely children who always walk out of a screening saying things like well I would never had guessed..... & then revealing the plot/end to anyone waiting to watch it:rotfl:

I think you can write spoilers but you should mark them a s *spoilers*** and write in white so that it must be highlighted to see it- as they did in the strictly thread- then its up to the reader if they wish to spoil it.

Sorry, that's what I meant, even on imdb they have spoiler alerts.

I was really looking forward to seeing this on Sunday, doubt I'll bother now!

Oh cococolakid, I am so sorry, thats so sad, big hugs coming from me.

The film is really lovely, but you will find the end bit distressing particularly. Take plenty of tissues! The beginning will be nice for you though as will remind you of all the lovely times you had with your lovely doggie.

And thanks for the good wishes with Albert lol We got him a crate/large cage thing the other day and leave the door open so he wanders in an out of it and has made it his home, and its closed when we go to bed to stop him ripping the house to shreds lol all good fun eh lol
Never argue with a fool, they will lower you to their level and then beat you with experience.........!!!:rotfl::T

I think I'd guessed before going that was going to happen because I'd heard people mention that they'd cried but knowing that doesn't spoil the film as it's not meant as some big twist or surprise as soon as the film starts you can tell you're on a journey of the dog & it's family's life.

So don't let it put you off but remember to take a pack of tissues. ;):)
