Hi
I just sent the email for the screening later tonight (28th Jan) at Wimbledon Odeon to see ''17 again''. I am not sure what happens now- as I followed instruction as posted by squishy88 in the codes thread.
Will I get an email back from them with tickets. Do I just turn up and tell them what I am their to see and give them my name. Do I need to print anything off??
Does anyone know ??

I love going to the cinema and I only ever use the codes to go and see films that I want to see. I used to pay and go at least twice a week but there's just no way I could afford to do that with the tickets costing as much as they do now! Just because I also see it as money saving it doesn't mean that I'm not interested in the films!!!2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89
2013: £134.960 -
I've only just recently found out about preview screenings and/or bothered to apply because I was either a) too lazy, b) not interested or c) unable to find anything local. However, we've seen quite a few for free recently via SFF and The Times and as it happens it has encouraged us to go to the cinema more frequently and actually BUY a ticket, so I would say job well done film industry.:T0

I found 'Benjamin Button' a bizarre movie.
I know that films are sometimes influnced by personal taste, but it was weird seeing the way the plot developed, without going into detail for those that have not seen it.
It may cleanup at the awards season, but doesn't get my vote.0 -

WE SEEM TO HAVE UPSET SOME PEOPLE !!!
Not happy bunnies at all !
And I really don't think there are many people on here who waste 2/3 hours of their life sitting through films they don't want to see, just because it's free. I guess some people may go to see different kinds of films than they would normally pay for - but I'm really struggling to see that as a bad thing.
Also, at the benjamin button screening last night, my gf commented (it's the first screening she's been to) on how quiet and respectful the audience were (given the place was packed) and on how much discussion and anlysis there was after the film - the people who were there clearly cared a lot about film.
Sounds like someone's just trying to stir the pot for the hell of it to me.0 -
A totally un-necessary outburst in my opinion.
I am a member of various forums for codes and very rarely get the emails etc to provide codes. So if it wasn't for MSE or FMUk I would be too late for all codes!
I certainly enjoy the cinema and have always done so. My life seems to have been spent in the cinema past, present and hopefully the future. I appreciate every film I have been to see as a screening and it has allowed me to show my daughter films she would not normally have asked to go and see. The knock on effect is that I still pay to go to the cinema purely from reviews that other users of the sites have posted. I also tell friends, family etc about the good, the bad and the ugly and many have gone to see a film on my recommendation. Therefore the whole ethos of the screenings i.e. to offer publicity for a film is being met by me including always submitting feedback to whichever organisation is hosting the screening.:j Member Number 18 of the "100 free films in London in 2010" club:hello:0 -
Saw Benjamin Button last night...the place was packed solid.
Really enjoyed the film...thank you to everyone that posts the codes - was a really great night out.

I'm pleased to say the screening started at 6.30; we didn't need to Q for tickets, just handed in the bit of paper/e-mail and wandered in.
The screening was about 95% full and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
It was a fun British film.
raced accross town and made Banjamin Button - there were 4 free seats I managed to count. V Good but perhaps 20 mins too long and I know in the novella he regresses to a baby but I don't think that bit worked on screen......
the point of free screenings is you go and tell your mates. i've told loads of people to go see both already; that's the way it works.Jillsa0 -
We never got to see Benjamin Button last night at Sheffield.....we were sent to the wrong screen!! By the time the film had started in the screen we were sent to and realised it was the wrong one, after lots of trailers, it was already half an hour into the other so we decided not to bother as we had missed the start. It wasn't just us too, lots of people got up and went.0
