  • Well Benmorse, I do apologise if you found what I sent you in the least bit threatening.

"You say you are a thread subscriber, and are fed up of the warning messages! Well I noticed it said that was your first post?? Do you have duplicate accounts as that would be the only way you could have subscribed before. I am just wondering is it maybe against the rules to have one or more accounts. I will check this out with the site."

The text highlighted above wasn't meant to be a threat, but actually something I was going to check out with the site because I thought (wrongly as I have found out now) that you have to be posting to subscribe. So I apologise for not knowing about the subcribing bit. (Thank you for explaining Sim Granny) :T

I wont bore the rest of you with the rest of the letter as it was about my feelings about people chatting on the code threads in general and I think this has been done to death tonight.

I do feel the message earlier on the codes thread was totally uncalled for and a massive dig at me. But I really don't think what I wrote to you highlighted above could be called "slightly threatening".
Never argue with a fool, they will lower you to their level and then beat you with experience.........!!!:rotfl::T
  • Seeing as I never venture into this thread, I think you might need to re-assess your views on the website - It was meant as a "dig" at anyone posting warnings. Why on earth you should think it was aimed at you is anyone's guess.

Hello Ms thrifty, many of the posters on FMUK are from here also I understand it to be a spin-off thread if you like.

A PM is sent by clicking on the user name so if you wanted to send me a pm click on my name HM71 a list of options should appear one of them being send a private message. click on that and you will send me a message via MSE no e-mail addresses etc..
I to had difficulty when first statrting out on this forum but mainly through trial & error i have got there I use the search option a hell of a lot & you will find if you click search then advanced search you can put in your username and it will show you all the threads you have contributed too.

I am also learning through trial and error. If you click on 'user CP' (in the green bar just above the thread) you then have a box appear on the left hand side that gives you various options including editing posts and list subscribed threads.

    Hope this helps, Ms Thrifty.

No, I've never been asked for ID. (There is a note on the See Film First receipt which says you should bring suitable identification with you.)

The only security I've ever encountered was when I went to see a new Tom Cruise film, Lions for Lambs, last year, and we had to hand in our mobile phones (and they checked your bag too!) and you got it back after the film! Way over the top if you ask me:rotfl:

  • Whilst on the whole many cinemas do not ask for ID, there has been a marked increase in this being checked. It would seem that SFF or the cinemas are beginning to tighten up on this.

I wouldn't over worry about this! On most occasions you will have something they will accept even if its just a "my sister got these and due to feeling ill at the last minute found she could not use them so passed them over to me"
