That's a misleading headline. They haven't scrapped charges, but simply included the numbers in talk plans. It's a step in the right direction though.

Don't be so pedantic! As far as I'm concerned it's a good post by KDH, well done. :T :T :T

No offence meant. I was complaining about BT's (or possibly Yahoo's) spin on it, not KDH's post.

It is Yahoo, not BT, who are being misleading. I haven't seen any release from BT suggesting they are 'scrapping' the charges.
  • i'd love to hear more on this, im currently on the anytime package wonder if its included in that
Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.
  • Just called BT, they said 0870 & 0845 calls will be free from 16th Jan (inclusive call packages only)

Now to see if Virgin follow suit-if not it's off to BT I go
I've been pondering this for a while-this tips the scales and makes paying the charge worthwile for a line (getting it back from Sky when I switch to them of course)

Don't worry most of the firms that use them will swap to 0844 or 0871
