The selected bits of your post sums it up. You pay £65 up front and that's about it!

If you've read the posts in this thread, and still want to go ahead with it, then please, by all means, go for it. But please let us know how it goes, good or bad!

Yes. The process is called "paying back what you owe". Never fails for me.

Nope, you're wrong. If the agreement was not correct then legally he doesn't owe it. Being a smart ars is up to you but don't come preaching to us. If the credit card companies invested some of the cash they've made from us for all these years into employing a legal boffin to make sure the CCA is legally binding then we wouldn't be getting it for free.

Sour grapes gets you nowhere fast - each to their own and to be honest if I knew I had £10k of debt and the paperwork wasn't legal i'd get it written off, I have no loyalty to a bank as they have none to me. It's their own fault, end of.

Why? Post 5 is a load of rubbish and suggests that the poster of number 5 would happily pay a bank loan back even if the paperwork was wrong, meaning it wasn't legally owing.

    Right, course he would!

If I borrow money I pay it back. I don't try and wheedle my way out of my responsibilities by invoking dubious 'legal' loopholes. There is such a thing as 'self-respect', you know.

self respect over several grand? Get real and don't talk to me like you're intelligent - you're talking rubbish and to be honest I aint got the time for foolish talk like this. Who in their right mind chooses "self respect" over legally getting free money?

Lets hope your card provider drops your limit and screws you over, then lets see how much "self respect" you really have!

They say that every man has his price; you've just revealed yours. Mine is somewhat higher and is in a currency that you would barely understand.

get real. Just cos you've the morals of a fool don't expect everyone to follow suit. If they can't prepare a legally binding document then they deserve it - what is wrong with that statement exactly?

Christ!, listen to what i'm saying here - it is not theft but taking advantage of their mistakes, remember the banks wouldn't think twice about doing us over so we as consumers have to follow suit.

whilst I do not entirely agree with the OP reasoning, I do feel that we must answer honestly and not with clever answers totally geared to your personal views which at the least, is very shallow and untrue. The OP simply needed to hear a yes or no answer, not your church habits!

Agreed, don't waste your time trying to educate the "can't pay - won't pay" brigade, your advice will fall on deaf ears.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.
