I think you'll find that the honest people on this site who are struggling to repay what they owe will be along shortly to bite!
You took the money, why should you be advised how NOT to pay it back?0 -
I have always paid the repayments each month on time and i have even paid this card off totally on times.
I have stuggling financially for other reasons which I didnt feel I had to reveal on here. And I need all the help I can get really. Sorry if it seemed I was just out to rip them off. That's not the case at all. Im just looking down this avenue as I have been told that it may help.0 -
As said above, you need to ask them for a copy of the credit agreement you signed. I believe that if they can't provide this then you can get the outstanding amount quashed but that won't stop you getting a bad credit rating against you.0

is there a letter on this site that I could use? or is it just a case of asking for the signed agreement? im not that great with all this letter writting stuff. i dont want to sound like an idiot when I write to them.0

This site is about money saving, not about ripping off a credit card company that haven't actually done anything wrong to you! - So I'd guess there won't be a letter for that0

right ok thanks for that - i'm just trying to make it like everyone else so thanks for those that actually gave me advice...0

If you post in the Reclaim Charges forum down the screen a bit you will probably get better advice there0

I want therefore I get? Contact the Credit Card provider and ask to sort out an arrangement to pay as you are in financial difficulty, don't try the "It wasn't my fault because I live in the UK and can't take responsibility for my life" get out clause, cos it is becoming harder to get away with it.
And why should you get out the easy way when guys like me are going without to ensure the house-hold bills are satisfied? I am not having a go at you just trying to educate you to do the best thing for yourself and the business whom lent you money in good faith.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -

Don't mean to be funny but the way you come across it seems like you want to just get out of paying what you have spent - yes you can send a CCA request but going down the route of not repaying the money CAN and more than likely WILL damage your credit file. Then there is the moral issue... you spent it, you pay it back. If it's a case of you can't afford to eat if you do then you enter a DMP and pay it back at a rate you can afford.
Sorry but the way you posted on here will not get you a lot of sympathy or help I'm afraid...
If you're struggling to pay your debts why not visit the DFW forum and post your statement of affairs and let the people over there help you juggle your finances?DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I don't think this is correct. I know people don't like the idea of getting away without paying debts, but if the Creditor or DCA cannot supply a valid CCA (Consumer Credit Agreement) then the debt is unenforceable. Whatsmore any negative information on your Credit Report from an unenforceable debt is not valid and you can request it be removed as the Creditor had no right to put it there in the first place.
To the OP the letter that you need can be found on the below site :
