    Excellent info from YorkshireBoy

Basically do not touch this place with a bargepole.

You can request your CCA yourself, no problem, just send them the request.

If they supply a CCA and you want to challenge it then choose your own solicitor directly rather than one recommended by a middleman and get a professional opinion on the likelihood of the debt being unenforceable.

Easier option is to get a new 0% card and transfer the debt away from MBNA and benefit from no interest for a promotional period.

Blimey, haven’t seen one of these in a while....novelty must have worn off?
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.
  • I gave them a card in September, and I got a full refund off them in December because it was enforceable. I checked the t&c's and because my card was over £5000 there was no 25% charge if they cleared it or got me compensation.

Has anbody any experience of Monster Claims Ltd of Manchester. Would be interested in using their services to challenge a MBNA card agreement in court. ?
    Thanks in Advance
  • Also, my wife is paying £295 with a company called Ratio Money :( She placed her enquiry long before I did my homework. :)
  • Hi guys,

I have heard of the idea of unenforcable credit agreements before but don't really know enough about them. Is it true you can get the balance wiped off your cards? If so, specifically, will it affect your credit rating?

I have seen adverts for http://www.loan-free.co.uk/ in the Metro who say they can do it without any repercussions, does anyone have any experience of them please?

    Many TIA all.

    Cheers

  • Yeah this is true. Mine was 'enforceable' , my wife has an 'unenforceable' one. Couldnt give you more information but check out consumeractionforum. they give you lots of answers.
  • Just had a look at their website. They only tell you about the costs involved once they have your details. Sounds fishy :\

    Hi BarnsleyDave

    Thanks for your reply.

You're right. If you go to the "What it costs" tab they ask for 300 quid just to look at it and if it turns out they can't help it costs 50 quid to get your money back!!!

To that end does anyone have any recommendations as to how to go about doing this please? I know there's been much discussion on it but I really am completely out of my depth here!!

    Many TIA again all. Cheers
  • Well I used a company (see other threads) who gave me a full refund when they found it enforceable. I think there are now people on here that can help you but I think it is quite wrong to use information off somebody that has no legal qualifications as it may land you in the brown stuff. :)
