Relocation, Relocation is back -who feels sick ?

I often think about that one in the mornings where they say they are going to move to Australia (watched a lot of it when procrastinating before my finals).
None of them ever move in the end, and they all get a nice jolly to Oz for a couple of weeks0 -
Coming soon to a channel near you….
Repossession! Repossession!
This will be a unique insight in to the lives of camp interior designers, scum property developers, rouge builders, and evil bankers now, as our cameras follow their everyday life in this unique climate.
We show how their cocky optimism that they have displayed over the past decade has mysteriously disappeared as their houses are repossessed and they are flung out on to the streets to join dole queues across the U.K.
We take the ‘know it all presenters’ of the past in to major high streets to be publicly ridiculed at just how wrong they actually were, and make them do community service in an effort to repay their debt back to the masses they have helped land in debt.
We invite all those couples who appeared on telly just to tell the country how much they would be investing on their next property back, as we watch arguments, divorce and poverty hit them hard.
Watch, out & tune in to Repossession!, Repossession!0 -

Nobody needed to do anything to make them look like it.
They had no idea what they wanted, they had little constructive to say, they flipped from one extreme to another, she just kept on smiling saying it's not right or I can see myself living here.
I think she might need some psychological help.
I'm surprised they got on the show.0 -
I am getting a sudden feeling that the producers are deliberately choosing people who make Kirsty and Phil look prudent and savvy. And by having buyers completely out of touch, it helps to reinstate their credibility and the programme continuing for Channel 4. Cynical I know!:D
Could perhaps be a reaction to the backlash they got in some quarters last year, for helping to fuel the property boom and reckless spending over the years.....not that for a moment I thought they were ever responsible. But some people always need to look for an excuse.

The point I am making is that these unrealistic wages in the UK (at all levels) need to stop, before there's nothing left apart from a huge pile of Sh*TE.
To me a £70k plus salary should be the exception for extremely gifted individuals with tons of high level experience, on my travels as a SAP finance consultant in many multi-nationals, I found these individuals to be almost non-existant. Thus I conclude that these triple average wage salaries seem to be given for almost mediocre talent, little experience and tons of aZZ-kissing.
Well, it's not. There are many, many people earning several hundred thousands of pounds a year. Good luck to them.
My sister earns more than me, because she chose a different profession.
She is also bloomin clever, works her socks off, got a 1st class degree from a red brick uni in a difficult subject, got through all the interview stages and internship to get her job (which many of her peers failed to do), has passed all her accountancy exams so far first time with >80% in all of them (which by all accounts are very hard), and loves her job. There is none of this "azz kissing" that you talk about, just sheer hard work.
I will never be bitter about it because these people chose the career that they want and work hard to acheive it. My OH knew that being a police officer wasn't ever going to give him that sort of salary, but still went in to it because that's what he loves. He would never claim that he deserves more, or that investment bankers deserve less. It's market forces.
"average" salary is just that, average. From minimum wage jobs up to people for whom a million pounds is just a bonus. A lot of jobs aren't average. For example a 37.5 hour a week job that doesn't require much in the way of qualifications, ambition, drive, etc, won't command the same salary as those that require the employee to make huge sacrifices in life to get there.0 -
Well shall we get back to discussing the programme ?0

Looks like they have taken my advice at KPMG. God I'm a genious.0

Hard you must be joking. I sailed through mine without even bothering to go to the classes, I just did a few question practice sessions and turned up, and still got betwen 70 and 90 % in them all. I have qualified, not just part qualified.0 -

If I had kids as stupid as those, I'd rather blow all my cash when I'm 55 (or less) on booze, fast fit young ladies and very fast cars,
that isnt wasting it.
i watched the show last week and i have to say, that woman was very unrealistic. the man needed to spend less on a house and more on a pair of testicals, jeeeeez.
it is odd to see such hate being spouted about a pair of tv presenters who have helped people who WANT to buy a house, get a better deal than if they had not used their help.
it is interesting to me, i get to see different parts of the country, different styles of house and localised pricing. there is also the sense of almost voyeurism as we are shown around peoples houses and see peoples financial situations.
the housing market is tumbling, im no expert but im fairly sure that these 2 and sarah beaney ( sigh...dribble...) are not the cause of it.what is the plural of moose?
