I have a massive house...
Is it really massive? Or maybe normal sized and you are very very small?

This is quite true... it's edited for entertainment, and in this case, specifically to make them look foolish. As for the couple, I bet they (she especially) just wanted to be on TV, and she IS very telegenic. I bet she imagined a very different, and more flattering, 15 minutes of fame, though.

I still don't get why they didn't buy the house of their dreams. And even when it was at a higher price, surely any normal person would have said, forget the house in Sicily, offer 20k more!

It is not only edited that way but we get all the smug little voice overs from Krusty being rather sniffy as well.

I found it all rather a depressing watch. I cannot say I warmed to any of them. Krusty is rather obnoxious and still witters on about potential in a busted market.
"There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."
"I could play all day in my Green Cathedral".
"The Centuries that divide me shall be undone."
"A dream? Really, Doctor. You'll be consulting the entrails of a sheep next. "

Does it occur to you that 'potential' may be in terms of a nice home, rather than as an investment? Certainly, a good house can be both.

Of course I am aware of that however I am going off not just the words but Krusty's inference and inflection in the way she spoke them.

Ah, inflection.....you've got me there! I have to admit I was asleep after the second ad break, having decided the couple had nothing about them that I could empathise with; or maybe it was the fact that I'd been moving into my new place and was totally kn@ckered.;)

I'm worth in excess of £1.5m net. I'm semi-retired, ie I'm a LL and developer.

I was on £100k plus package 6 years ago, before I got bored of all the B*llSH*t arZe kissing, jobs for the boys, uuuming and ahhing, making something easy appear difficult, etc, etc.

In the last 2 years I have increased my net worth by around £350K

But are you a nice guy?

Would you make me laugh - and do you rescue kittens?

Do you let people down, or stick to your word? Are you honest and trustworthy?

Once you're financially doing OK, that's the important stuff.

Not me - I love them...

The whingy bint buyer on the last episode was annoying though. I felt so sorry for her poor husband - doesn't look like he ever gets wehat he wants in life...

I thought yet again that they were a clueless pair, she did not know what she wanted and he was as much use as a chocolate fireguard. I can't understand how at 28 years of age that they have that sort of cash available, they went to university so they have only been working for around 6/7 years max, and to buy a £400k property they should need, a £60k deposit, and be earning a combined salary of £136k, that's a lot of cash for those 2 muppets. Looks like daddy and mummy must be the real financiers.

As for Sicily, I just did not get it at all, I'm half Sicilian, my mother was born about 5 miles away from Palermo, near Monreale, and have been there many times. To me a Sicilian village/small town like the ones shown were a 'strange' bolt hole unless you have family in the area. They were clueless about how Sicily works, if they wanted a place in Sicily then they should have budgetted to get a place in a resort area.

Simply these nutters were on a different planet.

LOL! That's exactly how the conversation went in our household...!
