Anyone know when they stop giving out Blinkies. Bought 2 meal deals yesterday and didnt get one!

Also have they stopped doing buy 5 meal deals and get the 6 one free.
Thanks, havent been bootsing in a while.

Think i've read that blinkies stop on jan 27th, you should have received one with your 2 meal deals but some shops have been runnung out and also if you used the self service tills you need to find an sa to claim your blinkie if there's not one on the ss tills.

and the do still do the buy 5 get 6th free on the meal deals...your receipt should tell you in a box somewhere near the bottom how many you've bought and how many more you need to buy to get your free one. I didn't realise that you qualify for this even if you buy your meal deals with points.

    lol, that's great! :rotfl:
  • Lordy, Miss Claudie! Just returned from Romford, and am blinkied out! When we arrived, the place was heaving, so we went a-Bootsing, with high expectations. :D

And wouldn't you know it, I picked up my basket from the pile, and spotted in the one below - a Blinkie!:j Well that put me in a great frame of mind. I needed some essentials, like toothpaste, so got those, picked up a couple of File and Buffer compacts, the Glossy Locks Hair Spritz, 3 of the Nail & Cuticle Care, and a load of Pantene sachets.

I needed a new lipstick, and like No 17 Honey Frost. When I got to the stand, I realised there was a BOGOF on this and you received a gold cosmetic bag as a GWP!!:T

We sorted out our stuff into "shops", and that was fine, then went to Asda where the Disney wrapping paper has been reduced to 40p for 10 metres, bought a £1 photo frame in Tchibo, which entitles you to a free coffee, and then Dee & I went to Wilkinsons.

Lo and behold they had mauve bath scrunchy thingies, I think the correct term is a Bath Lily, for 39p!!! I bought several as these will look lovely in the Olay GWPs, for my cheer-up presents, and will take up the slack a bit, as I don't think the box looks particularly full, and wouldn't pay £35 in the Real World!

We went to the Brewery Boots, and though neither store had Olay GWPs, both had plenty of 50% stuff, and Pantene, and the No 7 shelves were very well stocked. And Dee found a Blinkie!

At the end of my shop, I had "bought" goods to the value of £39.88, I "earnt" 1150 points, and spent in actual money £16.34 - and I started out with 2 Blinkies, and returned with 2 Blinkies. :j :j

All in all, a very happy and satisfying shop!

Lots of very cheap clearance items in High Chelmer Boots today for you local Essex girlies on here :D (Toni and Guy summer boxes (?), Mark Hill & James Brown hair stuff, Botanics, Peppa Pig bubble bath, soaps & wash mitts etc, Noddy stuff, Miko nail kits, teeth whitening kits etc, etc, etc. Some reduced electricals too. Big bun-fight to get to look at the stuff as everyone was grabbing it! Anyone on here?!

Anyway, enough waffle, big boxes of Pantene blonde / brunette hair products with 3 items in each - around £4 something (remembering 100 points wyb Pantene) BUT... lots of Herbal Essences Shampoo @ 88 pence and Herbal Essences Conditioner @ 86 pence (again with 100 points wyb Herbal Essences - Yay!!) Bought 4 of each, leaving plenty for others. Had a scout about the shop - no pantene sachets stocked, not even a place for them on the shelf. No reduced No 7 unfortunately either

LOADS OF PURPLE OLAY GWP for those interested. ;)

One singular "Admit you want me" GWP S & G set on the shelf.

Plenty of 50% off sale stock left too for those interested. HTH x

I am so angry:mad:   I was at the Swan centre Eastleigh Boots and noticed Pantene sachets went over to the till put one through fine the 100 points went on. Then, I spotted six bottles of Pantene shampoo on the side 50p a bottle yay! I took them all to the till with some other items I was buying the sa had to price correct the shampoos so instead of putting them through as Pantene he put them through as BEAUTY products and I didn't get my points  arggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhh!

    Be warned
  • Does anybody know why the 1/2 price stuff on the website goes into your basket as full price??? its very annoying.

Edit: sorry it was me being silly. It goes in as full price but the total is half the price.

    Thanks guys

  • After my slight bodge up earlier in the week, I had a much better Bootsing day today. I needed painkillers and a few health bits first, so did that and got a Blinkie (and a nice health club discount). Then did two other mini shops, to mostly use Blinkie's and 250 point No7 vouchers.

I had problems finding the No7 mineral GWP and thought they didn't have it, but eventually found one hidden away, so also bought the mineral foundation. There was only one till open (tiny store) and a big queue - and I'm afraid it got bigger when I was there, as despite asking to separate the items into two shops, when I was wasn't looking the SA mixed up the items and put the wrong things through, so had to re-do it. What I did find interesting was that the 250 point voucher beeped and wouldn't go through with the mineral blusher, but it was absolutely fine with the No7 quick thinking wipes. So maybe it depends what you're buying?

Oh you are posh, I call scrunchies Buff puffs. Dont really know why. I must have seen them called that somewhere:confused: Bath lilies, sounds sort of ...:o rude.. :o rather like a lady garden where bath lilies grow :rotfl: :rotfl:

You returned with 2 blinkies, but where was Dee?? would love to hear more about your bootsing partner.
