Grabbed an Olay GWP and hovered round the counter to look interested in the products -MISTAKE- the SA then came over and started eyeing my basket saying 'Have u picked up a Definity product?' Grrr... I feel like she invaded my privacy by looking in my basket! Will fill it first next time! (I did have a Loreal free gift in there that I was gona try so maybe that gave her a hint).
Had to pick up some definity and then walk round forever trying to find somewhere to leave it... Also picked up some reduced No7.
So pleased to find they had SS tills even though Meadowhall wasn't on the list posted somewhere on one of these threads! The GWP says 'Free' loudly when you scan it - eek! Then at the end my till crashed when I tried to scan the No7 blinkie, big red face moment. Managed to use another SS eventually.
Got my reduced No7 for 28p with blinkie, and extra 250pts, Olay GWP for free, picked up some tampons and Always on offer and another Pantene sachet (already got 3!) to make it to £5, had to go to other till for another blinkie after SS, then got a free reduced No7 eye liner with that.
Woop! Got what I wanted in the end! The way they look at you though, as if you're stealing... you're just using your brain and getting the most out of the massive loopholes Boots make for themselves.
P.S. There are plenty of 50% fragrance gift sets in Meadowhall, still a few No7 gift sets, other stuff but nothing great I thought...
P.P.S Does anyone else on here go to Sheffield/Meadowhall Boots?
We are regulars to boots at meadowhall, although haven't tried the olay glitch yet. I always feel as though everyone knows what I am doing and really we are only taking advantage of the glitches, it's not a major crime.
There is quite a bit of sale stock in meadowhall, but like you said, nothing brilliant.0 -

Me Me Me Me I do I do! went to Meadowhall yesterday and had a bit of a nightmare with the SS tills to, got the bojouis(sp) lip gloss thing and some reduced no7 but was too chicken to ask for another blinkie incase they noticed on my reciept.
They've got some of the other GWP at the Moor aswell although i'm pretty sure they'd not let you get away with them without buying anything from that range, they've also got the S+g gwp :T[/quote]
Damn!!! I forgot to call in the Moor one. Been right past it as well. Fargate were refilling some of the sale shelves, so still plenty of stock left at the moment. No No7 skin care though, which is what i would really like to get hold of.0 -
well i thought i'd report that in the sale section here, they have/are turning the prices around on the shelves, you know the little price tag things, im sure theres a name for them lol anyway, seems a strange thing to do on a sat afternoon so my guess is they are preparing for monday price changes

Me to will make a lovely gift for my mom, I went to the one on the Moor twice last week and both times they were restocking so will keep my fingers crossed.0 -
Had a nice little shop today, the lovely no7 SA commented on all my great purchases, even kept my step DD happy with giving her lots of compliments
Got no7 limited edition lip gloss, xmas ltd eye shadow, and olay gwp for free n used up some blinkies, and got a make believe tan range bits on clearance  Also got oh some no7 men stuff to use up couple of mens points vouchers, only spent £6.60ish, with 500 points but saved around £15 ish
Just wondering if there was anyone who got the GWP online glitch, who would have a spare l'oreal or rimmel or MF gwp? To swap for an olay one? PM me if soTreasurer and Co Founder of - The Smile It Won't Hurt Club

Hi any Leicester Bootsers,
Lots of stock available yesterday both up and downstairs, including High School Musical Gift Sets (which have not been available online since sale started).
Staff seemed to be stocking up the shelves, and it was all very neat and tidy, plus several temporary tills were in place, I think they maybe preparing for the 75% sale. Still think it will start next wednesday but just getting prepared, and had lots of items which are out of stock online.
Hope people manage to bag lots of bargains when 75% sale does start.Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:0 -
pollsdolls wrote: »Funny you should say this. I am on Boots viewpoint panel, and their last survey wanted opinions on them offering other 'Promotion' in there stores. These include, Post Ofice, Jewellers, Banks, coffe shop, Nail bar, and others that I can't remember. So it is something that is obviously under consideration. Maybe they take their ideas from here:rotfl: :rotfl:
Pollsdolls oh yes just the thing a coffee while you wait for your medication and you could have it to go with your meal deal, a couple of tables and chairs for us to plot our next shops. Looks like we have quite a scouse team in the making . I keep meaning to pop into Allerton Road and see what they have got but its so hard to park. Does that get on your radar?0 -

I know someone said you can get Paracetomol for 10p, but is there a list somewhere please, that shows the cheapest things, we're all likely to use ?
xx
A list would definitely be handy. I've got a bottle of water imprinted on my mind as being a good extra - think the cheapest is 50p or near that.0 -

The coffee shop in CS complex is handy for sorting out vouchers in between transactions and getting a second wind. I haven't been to Allerton Rd for years. I much prefer the bigger stores where the SA's know me.I am not mobile but parking there is a real nightmare, so not really worth the effort I think. Thats why the out of town stores are so much better.
Not many of us post but there are loads of lurkers (judging by the amount of stuff that flys off the shleves once something is posted here.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
Hi had a lovely day bootsing today, I got an olay gwp if any wants to swap for the maxfactor glittery bag gwp pls pm me cause i really really want one pleeeeeeaaasssseee
. Also heads up Bham new st Bootsers, loads of reduced No7 and going through with blinkie and 342. I also found some lovely skin care stuff no7 for under £5 min my local store and directed a young lady looking about, towards it, she was well chuffed ! Must say its nearly as much fun telling people how to find the bargains as it is finding them:D. I get real satisfaction knowing ive helped:D.
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!
