Way to annoy crabby No 7 SAs - waltz off with your purchases and pay at another till!

No commission for the cougars! :D

Thanks for the advice bham-dave, i will definately do that from now on if they continue to badger (cougar) me. I also noticed they don't like me doing more than one tranaction when using blinkies in each so i will pay 'all over the shop' from no on! Never thought about the commission aspect before, it might sound dense but i didn't realise they got commission. Basically then, it pays them to be nice to me, quite literally :D

Of the two boots stores i shop in regularly i have to say that the No7 SA's look like cougars ready to pounce on their pray! They can be so intimidating. Sometimes i actually wonder if they think i am a shoplifter cos it takes me so long to decide what to spend my precious blinkies on and i feel so pressured when they are standing behind me and persistantly asking if i need any help.

Does anyone else ever find that?

No - all of the Teesside no7 sa's are lovely!!! They are really unobtrusive and extra helpful.

When I was desperate to get one of the christmas star pallets I kept going in and asking at the no7 counter, they always had a look but none in as always shot of the shelf. This particular saturday I went downstairs to have a look at the mini mode stuff and felt a tap on the shoulder, the no7 lady had found a box in the delivery and had come looking for me - I was so chuffed I could have kissed her!!! Slyly went past and got her name and emailed cs when I got home about how lovely she was.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker

Had a quick chat with an SA who whispered about the 75% off sale starting on Wednesday, she let slip that last year they were all told Wednesday but in actual fact the sale started on the Tuesday and they weren't told of the change until the day before, she was anticipating that they may well do the same this year

Confused? Mr B is determined that we will be :rotfl:
Thanks for this info, but blimey this is doing my head in! Last year I went to the sale on the Monday, when it didn't start till the Tuesday! This year I was all ready for it to start on Tuesday, but was now assuming it will be Weds 14th. This doesn't really matter, as I can take either day off - BUT I NEED TO KNOW WHICH ONE! I can see me turning up to work on Tuesday, logging on to MSE, to find out if anyone has hit the shops yet, then having to disappear rapidly to zoom down the motorway to Boots. Would much rather be there for when the store opens....anyway, I'm just catching up on posts, so perhaps the date will be clearer by the time I've caught up....
  • Trying not to use my blinkies for he sake of it as I have loooads of No7 stuff from last time but finally found some reduced skincare today so got

    Factor 15 facial suncare and
    Intelligent balance night fluid

Free :j was also brave and picked up a rimmel gwp that goes throgh free and luckily the SA didn't say anything!

Total spend: £1.41 (on toothpaste and tissues)
Total points received: £2.66 (used 250 wyb No7 from gold gwp)

    :D

Just realised and corrected myself, I put DD when I have a boy Doh!!

Boys like the singing microphone thing as well I have found I think they were £7, but they did have Dr Who things as well in the clearance shelf so you should find a little something . Where there any Olay gwp's in Liverpool ? There are none at Speke and the S and G admit it sets they had are all gone now as well . Was trying to explain to my friend b4 about the site appart from not getting her head round it , she thinks the next thing we will be doing is having local coffee mornings and meeting up, perhaps some Boots stores could put on some hot drinks?
  • someone early was questioning the fact is it better to go 342 or buy the items separately or not
this really does depend on the price
if it is a higher price item you will be better off to do the 342
    ie £18 + £18 + £18 -£18 -£5 = £31
    £18 - £5 = £13 x 3 = £39

if it is a £10 item the sum works out the same £15 for the 3 items

if it is £7 it would work out cheaper to do it separatly
    £7 + £7 + £7 - £7 -£7 -£5 = £9
    £7 - £5 = £2 x 3 = £6

BUT if it was £2.50 go for the 342

you really have to work it out on how much the items are and do your sums....but don't forget to ask yourself ....'do i need all 3 items?'
    i hope i haven't confussed you all too much:o
  • Went to Meadowhall boots today for my first major boots glitch/offer exploitation trip!

Grabbed an Olay GWP and hovered round the counter to look interested in the products -MISTAKE- the SA then came over and started eyeing my basket saying 'Have u picked up a Definity product?' Grrr... I feel like she invaded my privacy by looking in my basket! Will fill it first next time! (I did have a Loreal free gift in there that I was gona try so maybe that gave her a hint).

Had to pick up some definity and then walk round forever trying to find somewhere to leave it... Also picked up some reduced No7.

So pleased to find they had SS tills even though Meadowhall wasn't on the list posted somewhere on one of these threads! The GWP says 'Free' loudly when you scan it - eek! Then at the end my till crashed when I tried to scan the No7 blinkie, big red face moment. Managed to use another SS eventually.

Got my reduced No7 for 28p with blinkie, and extra 250pts, Olay GWP for free, picked up some tampons and Always on offer and another Pantene sachet (already got 3!) to make it to £5, had to go to other till for another blinkie after SS, then got a free reduced No7 eye liner with that.

Woop! Got what I wanted in the end! The way they look at you though, as if you're stealing... you're just using your brain and getting the most out of the massive loopholes Boots make for themselves.

P.S. There are plenty of 50% fragrance gift sets in Meadowhall, still a few No7 gift sets, other stuff but nothing great I thought...

P.P.S Does anyone else on here go to Sheffield/Meadowhall Boots?

I couldn`t see any in C Square, and didn`t look at Aintree!! If your really after one why not try and phone? It`s a legitimate ask to see if the store has the free gift! I will report back about Chesire Oaks GWP`s although I tend not to look too hard due to standing out a bit looking at cosmetics:eek:

Hot drinks woould be good, maybe a coffee shop joined on like Borders, with free Wi-Fi and a Blinkie with every drink?

Great idea, and the natural way forward if M&S can do coffee why not Boots.
