    Afternoon MoT:hello:
Not a war zone here, though some sullen silences. Boss says things were OK while I was away, but he doesn't always see things, so I may hear otherwise....

My soup today was L&P, but I haven't managed to eat the 2+ week old banana after all :o So maybe I'll be making banana bread tonight. All this HM stuff is much admired by my friends, but often they are of the opinion that it doesn't save money, but costs a lot of time. I can set the BM up in a couple of minutes nowadays.

I have a fab new cookery book from Africa that I'm looking forward to trying out, the difficulty will be finding low calorie stuff.... (and possibly some of the more obscure ingredients.)

Lodger & I are going to try and lose weight without signing up to ww. The way I plan to do it is:
I'm going to cut out the g&t's, -I've grown rather accustomed to them over the last 18 months (it's only £4 a bottle at the shop near Popeye :D )

    And in-between meals eating
    And chocolate

And choose lower fat ingredients for recipes

    And reduce my portion sizes.

    Should be a cinch?
Did you read Martins blog on his weight loss? It was similarly small adjustments (the gin is not a small adjustment though.....) that got him to go down a stone.

NB I must ask Hypno again for her yoghurt making instructions, if I use HM yoghurt instead of cream in my recipes that should help. And I do have a surplus of milk quite often.

you're SO right, it creeps on. :o

When you think how much constant effort it takes to lose 2lbs per week, and yet I seem to be able to add that 2lb back with one single meal :rotfl:

My car insurance is up for renewal. Existing insurer has offered £215 fully comp. But I've found
    £144.50 with £40 Cashback for on-line purchase
with possibly another £55 cashback for doing it through Quidco......

Can't find anything that says I wouldn't qualify for both cashbacks....so possibly insurance for £49.50 :D

If I don't count the Quidco money until it is received, that still is insurance for £104.50 :j

Popeye is the musician in this house, can't survive without it.
His piano here HAS to go, [STRIKE]he[/STRIKE] we bought him a new one for his house in Africa. It is (apparently) FAB, and worth 5 times the amount of his old one. When he returns there isn't room for both  and his company will pay for his stuff to be shipped back at the end of his contract so he will have the fab one here.

(I permitted the purchase of the new one in order to keep him out of lap dancing clubs. The ex-pat life can be exceedingly dull outside work hours; it is a sanity-saver that he enjoys music. (He also has a pool  ))

 to scoliosis, hopefully it is the other of the 2, and that is something mild and curable (like computer-game-back?)
Glad the cough is getting better too.

And hopefully things getting better means less stress for you as you start your new job. :j
