    * Stick to meal-plan so Veggie curry tonight (meal plans are one of my MANY new years resolutions!)

    pipsmum Hope pip arrives soon!!!

  • Hey...well I have seen Mamma Mia but must be the ONLY person on planet earth who didn't like it!

Thanks to all the well wishers yesterday...feeling loads better today. Only DD had a sore throat this morning and I am desperately hoping I havent passed it on!

Last night I did loads of dfw things which werent recorded so going to cheat a bit today and add them in here. Hope you all dont mind!

    - [strike]arrange all my payment plans to include weekly, monthly and per bank print outs[/strike] done
    - [strike]work out what is my weekly amount I can remove in cash and spend in any given week[/strike] (sounds easy but really wasnt.) I have £60-£68 for food, petrol, entertainment, treats etc which is more than I thought but I think reasonable and a great working sum. Any extras will go on pad.
    - [strike]apply to join credit union at work. £50 per month comes straight of salary to do Christmas and essential home maintenance. Hopefully will start at the end of this month.[/strike] done and as is vaguly connected with work, have sent letter through work to save on stamp :T
    - [strike]paid livery fees by cash as so late into month before they told me what was due I didnt want to send a cheque. was going for a nsd and still going to count as one as that was regular expenditure not normally paid for by cash. I only withdrew the exact amount from the bank.[/strike]
    - [STRIKE]so aim for nsd no 3/10[/STRIKE] done :T
    - [strike]brought lunch with me (last nights soup)[/strike] was very yummy
    - took chilli out the freezer and will have tonight with pasta
    - [strike]signed up to graze using promo code which give 1 free box and 2 half price (santa08 for anyone else who wants to use). Should be here Friday!![/strike] discussed with collegues and think they will join in too. Does anyone know if you get freebies for recommending?
    - [strike]entered 2 comps last night[/strike] and[STRIKE] will do 10 today[/STRIKE].only 5 I wanted to enter but will check again before bed
    - [strike]brought my financial statement to work so I can photocopy double sided in preperation to send out.[/strike] done
    - [strike]claimed free credit on my o2 payg mobile (£5 odds) which will do until end of month[/strike] is now showing on my balance
    - [strike]raid the sweetie tin at work as I have a sweet tooth today[/strike] had 3 so far but want MORE!!
    - early night and turn heating off early
    - must get my bank reclaiming letter in (under hardship rules)
    - reply to nasty councils letter
    - prepare letters to people I ow money too with new financial statement
    - write cheques for debt payments to all above ready for payday on the 23rd
    - [STRIKE]dry all washing on radiators and the doors[/STRIKE] as we speak!
    - apply hardship grant with OU (comp really playing up :( )
    - check the freebies page and sign up to anything else which takes my fancy. want lots of free doggie stuff in preperation for my new arrival.

    Have a great day everyone!

    Morning all!

    Anyway, today I will/have....
    • Brought lunch to work including drinks
    • Had breakfast at home
    • Will have omlettes for tea with baked beans to use up a glut of eggs in the fridge
    • Recycled phone through Envirofone - got £39:j
    • Walk dog for free exercise
    • Did quote for Tesco insurance not sure when my insurance needs renewing but thought I'd do it just in case as the quotes are valid for 3 months and are currently half price!
    • Will pop to B&Q at lunchtime to get vouchers for mum - couldn't find garden centre last night!
    • Checked banks etc
    • Do any surveys that come

    Morning all,

Firstly, congratulations to everyone getting jobs and second interviews - that's such good news and gives me hope in finding a new job too.

Pip's Mum - thinking of you doing your star jumps!

    Mixed day for me.

I didn't maange to get all my tasks done yesterday but did managed some moneysaving - ordered my work-related magazine through quidco and got £5.80 back! Not bad - I was about to go through their automatic subscription process! I also managed to find a site that will take my old mobile phone for £43. Just waiting for the bag to send it off.

I bumped into my downstairs neighbour this morning. My bathroom has been leaking and has damanged their kitchen ceiling. I feel terrible. I have had a plumber out a number of times to try to deal with it but we have never been able to source the problem.

I know I need a new bathroom and kitchen but was hoping to make do until I'd saved enough until 2010. I may have to ask my folks for a loan to get them both done this year (there is some awful pipework and it all needs sorting and so it will be best to do it all at once). It's not what I had planned but it may get things done quickly. I also need to look into whether we can claim on the insurance.

So here are my list of things to do today:
    • Flylady tasks for yesterday and today Yesterday's nearly done
    • charge phone at work done
    • knitting (if I have time) too tired
    • Call Travel Agent - Haven't got tix yet Done
    • Write list of useful phone numbers/information for lodger for while I am away Started
    • Write list of information for family for while I am away (itenerary, passport no.s, insurance details etc). Started
    • Check FCO website as we are going to Egypt - need to make sure it is still safe. Done
    • Clear out computer - my brother is going to do a factory reboot! No
    • Brought lunch into work Done
I think that's enough for now.

    urg x x
