JOB DONE!! I took it to another Tescos Extra Store in the region, told them it was faulty - they said they didn't have an exact replacement in stock and refunded my money. After the transaction the CS rep said she'd of given my money back anyway even if it wasn't faulty which made me feel bad - but after my initial experience I didn't think I was taking any chances.0

Thanks for updating us as to what happened

I just googled fraud. Apparently there is no definition; it just covers a wider range of dishonest activities, so yes, you win. I better quit now as I'm on a forum and googling terms that have nothing to do with my job, using computer resource provided by my employer .. apparently also a type of fraud. (As I said, like I'm the first)0

A civil fraud typically involves the act of intentionally making a false representation of a material fact, with the intent to deceive, which is reasonably relied upon by another person to that person's detriment. A "false representation" can take many forms, such as:

Help in what - defrauding a company ??
Apart from a couple of stupid replies - the vast majority state the truth of the matter.
Well done to the OP for persuing the matter and getting a refund - but to use a fraudulent act in doing so surely should not be praised ??“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0
