    Jammy - I love your notebook - I wanna one like that...:T

PLM - I have never been so organised in my life since I met you - I shock myself lately. I used to be the most unorganised person ever - why do you think my name's scattymam.;)

:j Am excited - I'm buying my new netbook today and have got two codes from MSE and hotukdeals (am addicted to that site now - own up who suggested that one - I bet it was you mel or was it mum2one??!! lol) so I get about £30 off and am going through a cashback site too- does anbody know what topcashback and cashbackkings are like? cos Quidco doesn't do the shop I want.
Also was looking at Quidco and my hubbie can get £100 casback from O2 through quidco when he gets his new phone for his birthday so I don't have to raise the cash from ebay selling - so I can put my ebay money towards other presents now - fab.:D
  • I haven't caught up with all the posts, so apologies if this is already answered, but I got my confirmation email within a few hours, but I should imagine they are pretty busy at the moment, so could be up to 24 hours.

  • Hi all

Happy Belated Rudolph Day, sorry I don't usually log on over the weekend, I spend so much time on the PC during the week, so am late with my Rudolph Day update.

Sorted the present “chest” and updated list for xmas and birthdays.

    Birthdays
41 birthdays (only 25 to buy pressies for, the rest just get cards!) – 10 so far bought and wrapped, and all either with points, or collected points when bought (Nectar), or in the sale.

    Xmas
29 to buy for (6 bought and 2 half done).

    Money Neutral (I think)
Bought xmas wrapping paper and cards in Boots (using points).
Bought 3 xmas presents in Boots sale (using points).
“Re-cycled” a voucher given to my OH to buy FIL bday present.

    Not Money Neutral, but Thrifty!
Used the House of Fraser £10 off £50 spend + free delivery offer and got £125 worth of pressies for £40.06! (3 x Xmas pressies)
Bought 5 x presents for upcoming birthdays on Amazon (get Nectar points).
Bought 6 pairs of kids pyjamas for Xmas pressies - £25 inc. P&P in the sales.

    Money in the Pressie Pot
Sold lots of CD’s and made £55 on Music Magpie.
Found $62 in drawer, cashed that in and got £39 (rounded it up to £40).
Have upgraded my phone and will sell my hold handset (should get £49 in M&S vouchers).

Qype Virgin Voucher – Hmmm, think this will be used towards me and DH going for a slap-up dinner at L’Escargot (I know this is not Money Saving, but we never go out, and this is the restaurant that my DH booked for our first date 15 years ago, so nice memories!).

Also, been accepted for QNA surveys and they offer immediate payment per review of £5-10 Amazon vouchers, apparently you don’t get many to do, but they pay immediately, so hopefully will collect for pressie pot.

Valentines Day, Mother’s Day and Shrove Tuesday – weren’t even on my list!

scattymam - topcashback is fine. All my Boots orders have tracked etc with them, I am just waiting for it all before I pay into my bank etc. :)

  • Hello everyone, hope you all had a good weekend. Last night I signed up to Qype - managed to do 2x first review - so 40 points so far. I read about Qype on this thread - sorry forgot the name of the lady who kindly provided all the essential info - THANK YOU. The Virgin promotion is gone now so i am wondering - I will keep writing reviews, collect points and then? Can you explain please?
So far, I understand that if I collect 250 points I will become a Qype insider (also receive a goody box), 1000 points - qype Ninja (some rewards there).
Also thinking about other ways to provide extra income as I am not sure if I still have my job by the end of next month - extremely worried. So I am trying to think of ways how to save money and make some extra - just in case...Thankgoodness for you all and the rest of MSE community.
And so for the first date in the diary (again big thanks to Mel) - Valentine's day - I think a card and a cuddle will have to do...
