Skint Lynne Not even I can keep up with this thread but we are a chatty lot so just barge in every now and then
98sidney I made the mistake of doing the Morrisons deal over christmas for the extra money and I hate the shop. I figured if I had just carried on in Asda where I love the food I would have saved just as much because they had better deals. Think where you love to shop, where you love the food and stick there. Don't let deals sway you! For points, I keep my eye out for the 1000 on a 50 spend online every few months and use that.
JordanShannon No such thing as a dumb question.. it makes me feel usefulI buy 12x12 sheets of card and make my page on them by cutting up papers, adding photographs and embellishments. You don't have to though, you can use the patterned paper as a whole sheet if it is nice. It is really all your choice. Don't get tied down in what you should and shouldnt do.. just enjoy it.. cut things up and get messy
junior-j You can't join this thread.. sorry.. You have got too many bargains and I am far too jealous. We can't have this sort of thing going onPlease.. come in.. make yourself at home and please.. excuse our crafty chat

Thanks mel, i shall be making lots and lots of mess when my order arrives and my birthday has been and gone
lol
I'm looking on every craft website i can find to see which one is cheapest as i don't have any near me, i only have a few haberdashery shops which i shall be going to when i have gotten over my sickness bug:p
But for now i shall scour the internet (Da Dada Daaa!!):rotfl:
And now off to make ANOTHER list of what craft bits i need...
..xxI am only me, no pretences, no second guesses.. It's the best I can do, I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you... I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you :A0 -
Afternoon all :hello:
& Hi to all the newbies :j the more the merrier.
I was taught a similar technique to the one Mel has done the tutorials for (glad to hear you've still got a Telford accent Mel, even if it is a posh one, lol) but without the outlines (though I gota try it, it adds great depth) & using normal pens with a paint brush. Do the same as Mel did with the pens, scribble some on a clear stamp block, plate, acetate etc, then use a brush dipped in water like she used her water brush, works with most pens, except gel pens & markers.
Nother buyer of the superdrug soap dish here, should we start a fan club, lol.
Mel, your welcome to come shopping with me anytime, but I warn you, you better have strong legs, lol. I do a LOT of walking around, checking what shops have sales, bits n bobs etc, 'Cause I dont have a car I'm up the shopping centre every few days to get food shopping rather then spend money on a taxi, I'm going to be lost when LO is too old for the pushchair.
yep, this thread moves way too fast Skint Lynne, I only posted yesterday & thats 3 pages ago, lol. Its a chatty friendly place to come with a cuppa.
Please dont show me any more scrapbook papers, I have an addiction (yes, another to add to a long list, lol) & I really need to save up for some sort of electronic cutting devise (craft robo or such like)You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
You have got to get a Craft Robo.. FTW!! They are awesome. I used mine in my latest challenge where I have only got 5 pieces of cardstock and some letter stickers to work with!
You can use any felt pens for the tutorial I did, but the colours will be washy so test them first. I used the brush markers as they are acid free so they are ok for my pages. If you are just making cards and stuff then I bet there are some cheap awesome pens about.
Fast legs... I have a broken pelvis you melon!! AND a fat backside
I forgot to say earlier.. Vellum is like.. a see through paper that feels like greaseproof paper.
I was putting on the posh accent sub consiously I think.. how embarrassing. In my 5th one I shall be saying 'Yam poot da broosh markers on yam stampin block for a bostin finish':xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
I have just counted my pot of coppers (not sure how long I have had it) and have a grand total of......£5.60:rotfl: it's a start I suppose!saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
£60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j0 -
I know I must, lol, I keep having ideas & need 1 to fulfil them, so frustrating cutting by hand, specially if its something I need lots of. Hmmm, off to check how much Sizzix machines are selling for & to ponder whether to sell mine to get a robo instead.
Lol, have to have plenty of stops for cuppas then wont we Mel, spend all the money we've saved on bargains that way though.
Isnt Yam wolvo way? I know Telford was originally an overspill from brum & wolvo but its a lot softer accent due to being so close to Wales (I think)
Well done bunbun, nice start. I couldnt have 1 I could get into, I'd dip into it, lolYou cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
