I have never been adopted on UKS (you can choose to by joining a thread and then you get someone adopt you and show you round) and it looked very scary when I first started but then I just worked my way around and discovered it all out within a week. I have a team on there and if anyone would like to join that just let me know. That way, you can have people to ask any questions and get inspiration.

Orange bread sounds absolutely delicious! More fat for my bulging buttocks.

Welcome to all of the newcomers it is great to have you here.. just ignore our random chatting and join us at your peril :)

Sarah I am so glad the funeral is over and now you can move forward. It is always such a hard time to try and get over a change in your life that you really wasnt prepared for.. What a way to end christmas and start the new year! People say funerals are a celebration of life not death and that you should be happy you met that person and was able to have them in your life. I hope that makes any sense. I ALSO had fish chips and curry sauce... oh the disaster. The worse thing is I have long hair so it went in my hair ARGH.

  • Hi Mum2one
I got the mars bar vodka from somewhere on this site, it's just a bottle of vodka, with some poured out & add chopped up mars bars, if you chop them lemgthways they slip through the neck of a bottle quite easily.
I made 4 bottles, I bought 3 bottles of vodka & poured about a third of,each bottle into an empty screwtop wine bottle that I saved. You can all sorts of sweets, skittles, parma violets, bounty bars etc.
    Hugs Hester

    Hello all!
Sarahf - yes using the £100 on presents will make you money neutral. I'll be keeping a close eye to check it doesnt get spent on crafty goods! :D

I need to make 30 thank you cards for our engagement presents, but I am so lazy I've decided to get some snapfish photo cards printed instead and just make 3 for the family thank yous! Who wouldn't love a mug shot of me and Mr Jamtart on their fireplace?? (it will keep the children away from the fire at the least!)

Was hoping to sort my cupboard out with presents today but been a bit snowed with other things. I have a nice big stash ready for eBay. Mind you seeing as I've been lazy on the thank you card front I can sort my cupboard out instead :D

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

Im half way through sorting out my present stash now
have divided it into 2 though - Christmas and Birthdays
And Ive made all the birthday cards I need up to the start of March
My little notebook is getting fuller by the minute (im not sure fuller is a real adjective)
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

I bought some lovely wooden East of India Christmas Decorations that were half price today, I will use them on gifts as tags. I am terrible , I find it hard to walk away from a bargain. Did I need it ,no not really but they were very pretty!
  • Ohh i love east of india, they do seconds sales, and theres absolutely nothing wrong with them, much cheaper! I use the hearts on the tags to decorate old photoframes :D
