Hello Kirstin2, give us a chance :D Its sunday we are all still asleep!
As others have said, just quietly put the word to parents and let them spread the word. It seems the most polite way suggested on here.
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:

I prefer an honest, nicely written note to these poems to be honest. We are saying we want gift vouchers, and I was completely anti putting anything about it in the invite (I hate the implication that a gift is obligatory), but then my brother received a wedding invite with some wording I thought was actually ok so we cribbed it. :) Our parents couldn't spread the word as they're not in contact with most of our friends lol.

    We've written:

We are currently living in a rented flat and have all the day to day items that we need and a distinct lack of storage space! We are in the process of buying a house and so, if you would like to give a gift, vouchers for B&Q or Homebase would be greatly appreciated as we will need many home and garden items after moving. However, your presence at our wedding celebration is a great gift in itself.

    With love, Sarah and Stephen
