    agree with the principle of keeping your friends close and enemies closer but would broach the subject with your son in a jokey manner (I mean it sounds like you're going to have to do some kind of sex-ed explaining how you get lovebites never mind pregnancy prevention:D).

    I overheard my dad talking to my uncle at my cousin's wedding: they were kinda congratulating themselves on having their daughters married off and having avoided having to 'get rid' of an unsuitable boyfriend. I had to point out to papa that we were smart cookies and I only ever brought home the ones that I thought he'd approve of and had great fun with the ones he wouldn't have approved of:cool: :p !

    I'd complain that my mum was always in my face wanting to know what I was up to and that she should trust me to be an adult and go to her if I had any problems - amazingly that's what she did and she became this person that my friends would talk to and my brother and sister would talk to. Looking back I'm sure she must have had plenty of nightmares over our antics but she was always there in a tight spot!
