sorry to say that the £6 a month for 50 mins and 100 texts from talk mobile a month beats this, and so ity cannot rightfully be claimed as the cheapest ever.
both my wife and have have the talk mobile deal and we rarley get billed more than the £6, especially as our calls between each other are unlimited free

Does that include a free mobile, as it looks like just a SIM on their website - if so, not really comparable if your looking for a free phone also

    Does this work? http://threestore.three.co.uk/handsets.aspx?tariffid=1076&mixnmatch=0

Its the non Mix & Match Texter 75 + Internet tarrif.

Thats an ok phone on a pretty good package - the package is aimed at a specific type of user, but if that fits you, it's brilliant.

Just got 3 CS and signal to overcome

it really is swings and roundabouts with any of the networks customer service dept some you win some you lose..My experience with 3 is very different to yours because I think they are great. Anyone with a 3 mobile contract due an upgraded phone can decline the offer but ask for a reduction in line rental instead, they always reduce the rental. Sure you don't get a new phone but who cares when you consider that I'm down to £5pm for 300mins/150txts/25videotxt and 25video minutes if I want a new phone theres always Ebay...Pay your bills by DD and you won't ever have to speak with customer services..I have no complaints about 3

I have read your experience and am truely mortified that Three have done this to you and others.
I have been with them for 5 years and never had any issues with them when canelling my contracts in the first 2 years. They just went ahead and cancelled them. This time when I rang them to cancel my contract It was done straight away by a guy in the Indian call centre. However 3 days later I had a call from the customer service team and they offered me a contract for 12months for £15 including VAT for 300 mins and 1000 texts. I had to take the offer as it is the cheapest on the market and I couldn't refuse this. I have never had problems with my phones, coverge or the customer service. But am truely disappointed for those of you who have had issues.
I agree with you, Ive been with 3 for 6years and haven't had a problem with customer service for a long, long time I usually find them to be very helpful and polite anytime I've called them for something and they really do have some amazing deals esp when you are out of contract, With regards to coverage if you do go out of 3 coverage your phone will automatically and go onto the o2 network..I've not been without a clear signal for years, perhaps those complaining about poor coverage are really referring to the situation years some ago when 3 was new.

I'm with colprimus on this one. I've never used Three before but a couple of friends have been with them for years and they've got no complaints, particularly with the decent renewal offers they seem to throw around.

This deal is exactly what I need - a reasonable new phone and enough minutes/texts to do me for significantly less than the tenner a month I budget for my current PAYG phone, a tenner that never seems to last long and always runs out when I need the thing most! I don't know why I keep switching back to PAYG, probably because there were no deals like this one floating around the last time I needed a new phone.

Three customer services are a shower there is no denying it, but I've had similar problems with many other customer service teams in foreign countries.

The best thing I've found in any of these situations is to assume a very low level of understanding at the other end and escalate issues yoruself to a higher level.

For example, during the summer lots of people were trying to get out of contracts because of the change from per second to per minute billing on older Three contracts. This site was full of woeful stories about people spending hours on the phone to the call center, while a few of us just tried once and then WROTE to the head office. The net result, one fruitless call to the call center, then one helpful call from someone in Scotland (almost as hard to understand :rotfl:) but problem resolved.

There is no point in letting some asian chap, who is probably paid a pittance, ruin your day when you know what your rights are.

HAS EVERYONE FORGOTTEN ABOUT THREES RECOMMEND A FRIEND OFFER
YESSSSS YOU CAN GET T WITH THEIS DEAL
SO WHAT DOES IT COST YOU
    £9 * 18 = £162
Now if you get you friend or dad or sister who is already on THREE to recommend you - you both get £30 + £30. Hopefully your dad or friend would be nice enough to give you the money as they get it in their account after 2 months. Even if they dont do that you still get £30 off which comes as credit into your account. SO effectively it costs you
    162 - 60 = £102
WHich is £102 /18 = £5.67 per month -- NO ONE CAN MATCH THIS AT THE MOMENT. YOU CAN GET £20 ACCESSories also. NO end to the JOY.
