Monday 5/1/09 Wht small dfw things have you done today???

:DWhen we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today i will:
  • make a loaf in breadmaker - done
  • check online banking - done
  • move some money into savings - done
  • update spreadsheets
  • go back to work after xmas break:eek:
  • catch up on lots of paperwork
  • storecupboard meals
  • reduce, reuse, recycle one item - printer ready for charity shop - OH just had new one given to him.
  • do one thing for fun - read these forums in lunch hour.
Good morning dfw's. Back to work today after the long break:eek: need to get in work mode again - not working so far:o
Hope you all have a good day. Hugs anyone who is feeling poorly. Welcome to any new posters and hi to the usual gang:hello: :hello: :hello:

Catch you all later - need to get my act together now:o
Reduce,re-use, recycle.

    Good morning all - and Happy New Year to you all you small DFW regulars!

    BAck to normal today - sort of. Weather is atrocious so my Dad rang to say I shouldn't attempt to get to my brothers to do the cleaning (he lives in the middle of nowhere and roads ice up badly) so my morning is my own! Would have slept in longer if I'd known! :rolleyes:

    Also my days are changing now....little one gave up his daytime nap over the holidays so he will be up all day now. He starts going to nursery wednesday mornings on top of when he normally goes, and he has a speech therapy group to go to on a Friday morning. I'm a creature of habit and I hate change...will soon get used to it I'm sure!

    Anyway, I'll stop rambling and get on with it!

    * Do Meal Plan for week
    * Change into sealed pot
    * Check on-line banking :rotfl:
    * Fill up car at cheapish garage
    * Do some competitions
    * Do any surveys that come through
    * Keep on top of cleaning / ironing etc
    * Do one thing for fun (I like this idea!!) - prob play dough with little one
    * PAD pay £1 to internet savings
    * Make soup for lunch using old wibbly veg in fridge

    Have good chilly days all!

    Miss P
    xx
