Gonna add the last few bits to ebay tonight. Im also looking for a bar/shop job for a few evenings week. I really want those cards gone by the end of this year.

Hi tasha-debt,
Just read your thread and you seem to be doing really well.
Although i do agree with others that your friend is not worth the worry if she doesnt snap out of her mood. Hopefully she will soon realise why you cant go to Thailand.
Good luck with your ebay listings!
I will be subscribing to this thread to follow your progress, if you dont mind that is!!

Hey,
Bit of a rubbish weekend, both my MS jobs were cancelled, dont really have a lot of cash to spend this month so didnt really do much except potter around. I did manage to go for a few runs though so hopefully will see a few pounds come off tonight at Slimming World. Ebay stuff didnt sell, need to find a better place to sell books I think.
Oh well, I will keep going, its a NSD today which is good.

I have a question, my next account is curremtly at £323. My Lloyds TSB card has £400 left of the limit on a rate of 14.4%. My next account rate is a lot higher than than. Do you think I should leave them as they are and throw as much money as possiable at next account or pay the account off with Lloyds TSB CC and then throw all money at CC and CLOSE the next account??????
All advise welcomed?

I'd go with the balance transfer personally, that way you're just concentrating on the one payment. You'll be paying less interest as well and I think it'll give you a big psychological boost to have one of your accounts paid off. Only thing is, I don't think you'll be able to transfer all of the Next stuff over to Lloyds straight away. I've got a Lloyds c/c as well and they usually make you leave £100 of available balance on your card when you do a transfer. But if the interest is lower with Lloyds, it's definitely worth moving over whatever you can now, then you'll be a lot closer to closing the Next account then you were before. That's what I'd do anyway.

Warning – This could be a LOONNGGG post:
Oh my god, I am soooooo happy. I asked my parents at the weekend now that my Dad is working a normal job with a regular salary if they can start to re-pay the money they owe me. I have took the sensible decision that even though the money was to buy a car I need to clear my debts more than I need a car.
I have had a loan with them for a few years and I still owe them £3000. I had suggested that they deduct what they owe me and just I pay the difference of £500.
Well this morning they asked if I had a second before leaving for work and said to say thank you for helping them when they needed it and cancelling my holiday that they are going to wipe £500 difference off and clear my loan with them.
I have just cleared £3000 of my debts this morning without trying. I am jumping for joy :j :j :j :j as that will also now leave me another £150 to put towards my snowballing plan which will have me debt free of everything in 26 months.:T :T :j :j :T :T
So my total debt is now £17,413.87. I know thats still a lot but I see a bright light now at the end of my tunnel.

I am now even more motivated to clear all my credit cards by Next April.
Here is my to-do list for the week:- List last 25 items on Ebay ( I cleared out my room again at the weekend)
- Re-write CV so that I can start applying for second jobs.
- Do at least 4 hours of course work by Saturday.
- Try and book some MS jobs.
- Look into and sign up for daily clicks (don’t really understand what they are)
- Change my bed and hover room.
- Take big change pot to bank and pay off evil Next account.

Thanks Kayleigh. Your doing really well too, vending machines are bad to my purse and my waistline.
It was a big boost and I really needed it. With the extra money I should have my Next bill cleared in a few months.
