My First Debt Free Diary- Pay the debt and lose 70lbs!!!!!!!

My contract was up for renewal on Friday so I called and said I would leave if they could not offer me a better deal, they came back with £20 a month for 1000 texts, 600 mins and unlimited internet access. I was so pleased (plus the new Nokia 5800 that I can sell for about £150 i think). Its an 18 month contract though, I always go for 12 months but as its so cheap I think it is worth renewing on that deal.
I will look into the contact lenses see if I can get them cheaper any where else.
Thanks all.
xxxxxx
PS. HOOS - Im gonna call the bank tomorrow and ask how much my O/D would cost without the £17 account cost's, it might be cheaper I guess, maybe I can get O2 to throw in free mobile insurance!!

I did not do to well last night on the diet front, 2 glasses of wine and a Pizza express pizza. It was all free though.
Do you think free food has less calories? lol

Free food doesn't have calories
just like food no-one sees you eat!!
One night off wont harm your diet, just get back on the wagon today you'll be fine. A blowout every now and again is allowed, and necessary!!
Well done on the phone contract! :T0 -
Hi,
Well today is my favourite day of the month, it is payday.
Today i have just paid the following:- £80.00 from Lloyds TSB CC
- £60.00 from Barclay CC
- £38.00 from Next Cat
- £50 into savings account (My BF and I are taking my Grandparent to the Ritz for tea next week, its a joint xmas pressie from us to them)
After all payments have cleared I will be able to re-caluculate what I have paid off.
Friend is still not talking to me, spoke to her sister yesterday and she said that she is still p***ed off with me. Thought she was one of my best friends, not so sure we ever will be close again after this. I need to learn not to be such a worrier, I didn't sleep a wink last night worrying about this, im just so upset that she is acting like this. (Know I keep going on about this but it is really getting to me).
I think this year I need to make some more/new friends, thinking of looking for a club to join, like a book club as I love reading......... or maybe a running club so that I can get fit and lose more lbs. Not sure yet but what ever I do it has to be cheap.

Im making progress, just checked my credit score. It was 819 on the 2nd Jan, it is now 846 :j . Should soon be in the next bracket, need a score of at least 881.
I want to look at applying for a new cc to balance transfer the Lloyds card to but I think I need to wait for 3 more months so that my file shows no credit checks for the last 6 months.

Hi,
Just wanted to say well done on getting stuck in! Also, I've seen you're looking for cheaper contact lenses. Martin has an article about them on the main site. From that, I started using Daysoft, and I can genuinely say they are even comfier than my old branded version. Check if they do your strength and you will save a fortune! I just got some on special offer, £40 for 4 months supply, so £10 a month. Plus I don't wear them everyday, so I save a lot by not using a contract supply where you end up with more than you need.
Just thought you might be interested. Good luck!

Hey Tasha
Well done on the credit score! I don't know what mine is, I've been to scared to look, not even the quidco cashback could tempt me!!
I would definitely consider writing a letter to your friend (if you still want to give her the time of day, that is) and explain how hard a time financially you've been having, how hard you're working at taking responsibility for yourself and how the last thing you want to do is let her down, but that a trip to Thailand is simply not an option for you right now. If that doesn't get through to her, she's selfish, plain and simple. Sorry to be harsh, but you really shouldn't be losing sleep and worrying yourself over it, it's not fair.
Book club or running club sounds like a great idea - I wouldn't have thought either of these things would be too pricey and will give you something new to do & let you meet new people
Although don't be like the running club that my friend nearly ran over when we were in her car the other night...they seemed to have an excessively overenthusiastic belief in the concept of safety in numbers, thinking that running across in front of a moving car wouldn't hurt somehow because there were a lot of them!! Either that or they thought their high-viz gear created some kind of protective forcefield. Have these people never played GTA???!!! Gouranga!
Hmm. Maybe book club then...!
Seriously though, running will give your weight loss a great boost, just make sure you get some good trainers! 0 -
Tonight is the night, I have loads to add to ebay tonight, its all photo graphed and ready.
Don't think I will be able to make any over payments this month but if the ebay stuff all sells then I def should be able to.
