my area said it has been triggered 3 times but up to now have only got one so far. I think with mine there was a delay of about 9 days between it being triggered and arriving in the bank and longer to get a letter.

It seems that if you get DLA or similar it is paid out automatically to you if the weather is below zero on 7 consecutive days. :T

Do you have more info please?

I have searched all around and only found that you are entitled to it if you receive Pension Credit or are on IS and receiving disability premiums etc.

DLA does not qualify you for a cold weather payment, presumably because it isn't means tested.
I think it's disgusting that those on DLA and another benefit are entitled though and those on income-based JSA are
If you get DLA for a child and are on a high rate tax credit (due to low income), you don't get this payment - can't understand it myself.

This is my point exactly. I'm quite upset actually over it.

My daughter is severely disabled, requires 24hr/7 days a week care.

If I didnt work and claim benefits then I qualify for £25 because it is freezing cold.

Because her daddy goes out and works we don't qualify for it?

Why? Have her disabilities improved because her daddy is working? Has she suddenly become fit and able therefore able to keep warm?

Like I said it makes me feel like she is only truly disabled & in need if her parents claim benefits.

My postcode is NE4 and according to the channel 4 news my weather station is Albemarle and that has triggered a payment so will I receive another payment?
