G&B - why dont you sell the text book on Amazon? It's Consumer Studies that I am studying.

I could, but i thought i would offer it here for nothing:D I was feeling generous.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes :)

Am having a lovely chilled day. Some lovely cards and presents including a Wii fit from DH (yes dusty did decide on it in the end!). He also got me this booknd for a bit of a laugh (v flylady!!). Also got some pjs from in laws and some money from my gran plus a funky set of biscuit cutters from B&Sil.

Wii fit is great fun and i really think will help me as my balance and strength is so low. Just gonna have another go now before we go to pizza express. The only flying i intend to do is making my lunch for tomorrow (although i might get DH to do it!)

greenbee - i've been with the coop (now with smile but it's the same) for about 12 years and i find them to be excellent if you're thinking ethically that way. Yes please on the masterclass, they've just put our DD up though DH did the calculations and haggled them (BG) down quite a bit.

orkney - not at all, :)

jennybee - i think some councils or something offer vouchers towards trying real nappies

soappie - personally i'd stick with elec as it's quicker!! I agree the water needs to be boiling for tea (I never drink coffee at home!)

You do know they release toxic chemicals into the air don't you? They should be incinerated rather than burned in a household fire... (unless they have dramatically changed their content in the last few years)

Nope didn't realise that! Shall have a look online to see what they have in them.

    Then go to new thread!

    I missed spotting that one!
Pigpen is quite right. Nappies are made form bleached materials (as is san pro; cotton wool pads etc) -the bleach involved chlorines. These are converted during combustion (burning) into dioxins. Other carcinogens (cancer causing chemicals) can also be created during combustion - if you burn plastics for example.

Lil-me get a safe! They're half price in Sains at the moment. Or make rubbish buns :rotfl:

Zoey if you have any trouble remind them that they probably get child benefit (I do) Working Families Tax credits (I do) help with childcare costs (I would if I had childcare) Child Tax Credits (I do) Free Prescriptions (I do) Council Tax help (I wish) etc etc and free healthcare ...
they are trolls (probably - I can't get my head around trolls properly :rotfl:)

    Morning lovelies!

    Happy Birthday Rach!

Managed to get to sleep in the end was gonna tell you what time I got up but I can't remember - that's bad :o think it was about 9ish  Since then I've

    hoovered right through downstairs
    loaded the DW
    cleaned the kitchen entirely
tidied & cleaned the spare/pc room
    tidied the living room
    done school dinner money envelope
    put WM on
made my bed (hoovered the room last night)
    put rubbish in bin outside
    made brekkie
    done a meal plan
done shopping list for this week
brought a big cake thing out to defrost
    checked bank
    text 2 people
    taken phone call from rellies

Last night I changed my bedding & hoovered the room....hoovered the hall/stairs/landing....and hung some washing on the maiden, I also checked my emails and have one back off the asbo guys re: next door, I've to phone her. I ordered 2 x xmas pressies for this year for littley - boxset of 10 Enid Blyton's Famous Five - half price (but not in stock yet) and a something the Bart by JK Rowling both come in at a tenner :j :money:

Waiting for rellies now but apparently there's a severe weather warning and flooding over the A66 so they said they may turn back - they're both in their 60's so don't blame them, hope they get here though.

Firstly - can I apologise for not knowing how to just "quote" a bit of someone's previous post....I don't know what I'm doing wrong? Anyway, just wanted to ask....where did you order that boxed set of Famous Five books? Sounds like a fantastic price!

I said this because on another thread on this site I mentioned that I was on Benefits and I was ambushed and had a lot of nasty comments aimed at me.

will take a look at that link now.

How horrible! You're amongst non-judgemental friends now xx
