I said I am not a big chips fan - but I had lovely small fish and chips and mushy peas today...I had worked up an appetite though!
    Welcome back.
Zoey - hugs re your shock!

By the way (in case it ever happens to you) DSs memory stick went for a bit more drying out hung on the maiden near the radiator. It is now FULLY FUNCTIONAL. All files present and correct!
This is the second thing (of his funnily enough) that I have dried, gently, patiently and slowly and restored to full health. Mind you the memory stick was in the WM for 3 hours
He is training for a government job is DS losing/ruining mem sticks - I think he is fully trained!:rotfl:

Walked into my building soc today (depositing money in bathroom fund :D and kids xmas money) to see ex OHs auntie behind the counter (she has worked there for 7 weeks) (same surname as you AnWsMum but she used to be a Wilko) so I jokingly said Hello Aunty Jane and the manager said 'you can't serve her if you're related' - we both denied WE were related (cos we're not but she is my DS and DD's great aunt - and not much older than me :rotfl:) am I best avoiding her serving me in future?

Soappie where she works well - there are no longer many 'men' jobs and it is (oh I am going to sound like a snob) not a place you would choose to live really - once was genteel esp the big houses (and there are stunners) but not good now, sadly...

Valli re the BSoc the manager would be right if you were closely related (I am not allowed to serve family or close friends) you were related by marriage only and as you are no longer married to exOH then the rule should not apply, un;ess you were to be classed as close friends.

Soappie my explanation would be that the natives where I work all mostly interbred and have three eyes :rotfl: :rotfl: whereas in Ashover they are posh!

    Hi ThereCanBeOnlyOne...welcome to the thread.
we are going to teach you essential lifeskills;) and I am going to shorten your name (if you don't mind) to ThereCan...(cos that's the bit I can remember for I am old and decrepit and I have never heard of 'the film' other than the mention back up the thread.)
