A couple of things stand out though...

Toots babes... I wasn't sure that your hosp visit sounded like good news??? I hope everything's ok with you, and just so you know I'm sending 'tumour behave yourself' vibes to you!!! And big ((((hugs)))) to you! SS
    xx

    HI Supergirl babes!!!!
Thanks for the vibes:A - hospital visit was ok news - it was for my myasthenia so no need to worry - I am just putting off being stuck in hospital for a week - not totally needing the treatment yet! - will have tumour check up later this month so thats an important one! Will store your 'tumour behave vibes' for then !!!!LOL
You sound a bit brighter today - whats the news on the wee man? and his MUm?
    love and hugs
    toots xx

  • It wasn't much fun Piggers!! Ah well, you're right, brother's can be foul!!
I'd be telling Hubby he's in tonight. :rotfl: I'd want to know there was a 'responsible' adult (ie a parent ) in the house. We used to have our neighbour's girls to babysit for our children (they were 17, and 19) But I wouldn't have gone out if we had someone over for a sleepover. It's a different dynamic isn't it, someone else's child.

    Good Afternoon Everyone

Haven't done any flying today as was working this morning but at last DS is back to school. I lay awake all night yet again constructing my resignation letter in my head and nearly went through with it............ How is it that one person can transform the most fantastic job into utter hell.........?

Gryfon No I wouldn't be happy to photography a single room in my house and thats despite it looking the best it has in years. I need a bit more flying and some decorating first!! Hope your kiddies are behaving today!!

Ok babes, I wasn't sure, so thought I'd check! Glad to hear it's okish! ;)

Little boy is doing ok again, I'm sure all the positive vibes make a huge difference, and Mum seems to be coping a little better with it all now. :)

Not home yet :rotfl: Although this morning I slept in so didn't get up till 8.15...but we still all managed to make it out of the house by half past! They're getting better at mornings. When they get home I'll get the timer back out for 20 mins tidying their rooms so I can see a difference.

It is yes.. which is why I think hubby should be home but he thinks they'll be fine.. we have gone out (to the pub literally at the end of the street) when we have had a couple of 15 y/o's over.. but if they are old enough to be left home alone anyway I don't see the issue.. and DS1 is often left in charge on a weekend (not that hubby and I have been out together in 2 months) So, I am justified in saying it is best he stays in and I go out.. he went out the last 2 fridays without me.

Yes, as long as the photo doesnt include me:D
    ditto on both counts!

regarding chucking out - Gryfon - it's just stuff. It's clutter and it drags you down. Since I decided to fling things there is not one thing I have regretted throwing. Not one - and I used to be a 'collector'. You end up a slave to your possessions. I knew I was no longer a hoarder when I began to get rid of books - and I LOVE reading and I also re-read books. And I haven't missed them, either. I realised I had a problem when I used to say to DD (who is NOT a hoarder and has never had sentimental attachment and she is 13 later this month) that 'you can't throw that out because X gave it to you' or 'you can't throw that out because it cost £YYY!'. But she didn't have enough room to store things anyway and I managed, with great effort, to change my mindset to 'if it isn't being used/loved it doesn't need to be in my house'. Things have been much easier since then and, in all honesty, I can clean any room in my house, thoroughly in an hour or less - usually less. (Whether I do...well that's a different matter:rotfl:)

Valli...I keep telling myself but it never seems to sink in :( The stuff I left at my parents house I didn't miss because I didn't know what was there. But as soon as I saw it it brought memories back so I didn't want to throw it out. Someone could go into my basement and probably throw 3/4 of it away and I wouldn't miss a thing, except when I go through it I keep thinking what it can be used for, and how wasteful it is to throw it. Just so hard trying to change my mindset even though I'd love to if you know what I mean.

    Hanging my head in shame...

I have just found a little carrier bag in the corner of the room from a Next Clearance shop....I bought younger step daughter a t-shirt from there. Lovely it is....

Problem is....I looked at the receipt and I bought it on 31st May. It's been sitting there ever since
