vinegar

wouldn't that be excuciating (or am I thinking of salt. Salt and vinegar crisps you see)

yes it would hurt, esp the first time you do it, that's why I said, after the feet have healed up a bit!! But you can also dilute it with water a bit, and then it hurts less. My son uses it on his eczema, and before the cold weather hit(which makes it so much worse) it was clearing it up really fast and then keeping it at bay.

still, what's a bit of pain:rotfl: we are women after all, used to pain!!

I'm pretty sure I've got some spare plates in the garage... I was going to freecycle them, but if you don't mind having stuff that doesn't match, you can get your OH to pick them up when he's down this way and save me the effort ;) . I've got a few queries out re. places to rent now everyone's back in circulation, so keep me updated on his progress... I'll PM you if I get a decent contact!

Awww, you're a love, thanks Greenbee, He's still not got somewhere yet and they start the 11 day fortnight next Monday, so if he hasn't anywhere by Friday, we'll probably be coming down for a little trip to find somewhere at the weekend.

At the moment, as soon as he finishes work, he's on the road home because of the journey - he's been asleep in his seat since we had dinner. I can't moan I suppose because he's not sleeping properly as he can't lay down on his shoulder as he has a trapped nerve (what next I hear you ask, think I'm wearing him out - literally...:rotfl: ) and he's just done a 15 hour day - 5 of that on the roads - so I can't see him being too happy to be sidetrack for some plates for me at the moment, but very kind of you to offer... :D

because SOME of us are fairly anal TBH - liking matched pegs and so forth.

Valli, you, anal, NEVER! I won't have it said...:rotfl: (Reminds herself quickly not to mention ironing or pegs... runs off before conversation changes...)

Well maybe if it's REALLY clean, he won't want to stay? What are you doing to try to get rid of him? Best bet for trap bait is chocolate... just as long as you make sure you have some spare for yourself in case of any major chocolate cravings, or it could be dangerous :rotfl:

Its not dirty under there... its just the stupid cabinet fitter didnt make the cabinets go all the way up so they can get in the back and he cut the holes round the sinks really roughly.. they are using it as a run no matter how clean i keep it. (i have cleaned it out most weeks its just the various bottles of carp under there needs sorting through)

And we have a tray of poison in there he seems to be eating but its not doing anything! We also had an old fashioned snap style trap there for a while too baited with mars bars but did nothing... we have least 3 and they are in the living room etc too so have traps and poison in several places...baited with the unwanted roses choccys from christmas and even tried sprinkling one tray of untouched poison with cocoa hoping the smell would attract them.... but they just jump OVER the traps outside there hole and climb through the poison trays! Oh or get brave and nick the chocolate off the trap!!

I'm sick of them but cant get rid of them... apparently weve had them on our block for the past 50+ years my dad said. :(

Do all your neighbours have problems? Do you have a management company or freeholder who you could ask to sort it out? And have you asked the council for help? Or as a last resort, could you get a cat?!

I really MUST go to bed, or I'll never get going in the morning!

But you don't want one... remember... you keep pointing out to all the flyladies on here who complain about their OHs that you're much better off than them because you got rid of yours...

No-one WANTS one, but they do come in handy, and mine is great as a hot water bottle in bed - he is always hot and lets me put my cold feet on him when I can't warm up (not many would do that - my feet are like ICE!) I suppose he's not so bad, I just like to complain, woman's prerogative and all that...;) :rotfl:

  • I'm with you greenbee - must get to bed, up at 4am and I'll be falling asleep again at this rate...

Won't be able to post much tomorrow as I'm working (good you all say :) ), and I want to get loads done - have started the bathroom - went down the grout lines with a toothbrush and bleach, just need to finish the rest of it now! will do that in the morning...

    Night all....
