I feel really sorry for ex though. He was his companion (he lives alone), and on Friday, he had a house fire which trashed his downstairs too.
He's not had a good start to 2009.
It's not nice watching a grown man cry.

Awww, honey, I feel for you both. DH and I have three furfriends - we would have had four if our lovely big red boy had lived but sadly he had cardiomyopathy (some Maine Coon cats carry the gene) and he died in our arms at only 22 months. My DH is a big man, 6 foot tall and well-built and he and I both cried like babies. You and your ex did the kindest thing though but I know how it hurts, so huge hugs to you both.

    With love, Menolly

I just looked and posts for me are going back to July 2004 just before "we" (as in ex, DD & I) went to Switzerland. It was around about then when things started to go down hill according to ex. Wish I hadn't looked now :(

Got to get ready for tomorrow - We've got football outside but that means me standing around for 30mins or so  Tights, socks, scarf etc all on tomorrow I think :rotfl: Night all

heya can someone please explain about thanking posts? I understand you do it if you find something helpful, but to get every single post thanked? I don't get it, or is it just a case of being nice to each other?
We thank so we can keep track of this thread (and we are just so darned polite)...Oddjob posted that he was surprised Toots had any unthanked posts and it just went on from there:rotfl:

have you tried manuka honey on your feet? ... then when it's healing up, you could sometimes use cider vinegar instead

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I have now thrown all 3 of my broken cups and 2 chipped plates but I don't have many left now... will need to get some but as I get paid tomorrow, I will sort some new ones out Thursday...;) (Although I do have to go into Dunelm Mills tomorrow, so might see what they have in the sale...)

I'm pretty sure I've got some spare plates in the garage... I was going to freecycle them, but if you don't mind having stuff that doesn't match, you can get your OH to pick them up when he's down this way and save me the effort ;) . I've got a few queries out re. places to rent now everyone's back in circulation, so keep me updated on his progress... I'll PM you if I get a decent contact!
