Hiya, just a quick update to let you know that I'm here and ticking along so far. My first payment to CCCS was on 1st April and I've received a few statements with no interest added but others who have carried on regardless of being advised by CCCS of my situation.

I've been eBaying like a mad woman with some success and some downright disastors but I guess thats the world of online auctions, you have to take the not so good selling items on the chin and remember that the things have only been sat in a cupboard.

I've managed to reclaim over £600 back in Credit Card charges from MBNA which they will deduct from my balance although not from my arrears ., However, they are also one of the companies who have stopped interest even though they have advised both me and CCCS that my DMP payment was too small.

Halifax are playing a little more hardball and they have escalated my charges claim to some special department they have and told me that they have 8 weeks to consider my claim. They can consider away because I'm not giving up.:D

I paid off my NatWest CC (with Mum's help) at the beginning of the year so I'm reclaiming £72 from them although they've sent me the standard get loss letter which I'm now in the process of replying to. That money will be mine, all mine as there is no balance. (I'm actually rubbing my hands together like ebeneezer scrooge (sp) whilst typing that!)

I also remembered an item which went missing in the post back in September of last year so I've dug out all the paper work and I'm claiming back my £35 on that as well.

My grocery bill has got a bit slapdash but that's down to me and planning etc but I've still not exceeded the amount which is 'allowed' by CCCS.

Things I'm missing??? Hmmmm, not a lot is the honest anwer but I think that's only due to my eBaying and the amount I managed to squirrel away before the DMP started. Things I WILL miss are 1) not having a nice little 1 week break in Spain 2) not being able to change my car to a newer model. Now I've typed that I feel very shallow and selfish when I see how others have to manage on here.

When the time comes for house insurance and car insurance renewal I will definitely be shopping around again and seeing whats the best offer and using quido co if its beneficial.

I think that's about it for the moment but I will try to keep my post updated a bit more often....

    Thanks for reading!

    Hi Optmus,

That's my fault I'm afraid. I've gone to ground a little after starting my DMP but I've just updated the thread and will make an effort to keep updating it. If you want to add anything please feel free to do so or drop me a PM if you prefer.

    Good luck with everything :j

was just reading your thread and just wanted to send a virtual pat on the back it can be really hard bearing your financial soul to others but isn't it such a relief to hear of others success and to have this community supporting you. I have found it really useful as I can't really talk about it at home. so just wanted to pass on my congratulation. keep up the good work.
