i tried Boots Naked range for sensative skin.
i purchased it before looking on here, but i have to say it seems to workfor me. have used it twice and conditioned after. perhaps conditioning it stops the matted mess. the thing with conditioner is to try and not put it on the scalp so just run it through your hair with fingers, not masage it in like shampoo.0 -

Soap nut Shampoo may help you. Of course it does not lather at all. I make soapnut liquid and then mix it 50/50 with shampoo. Or you can mix it with 25% shampoo and then fill a bottle half full or less. Then you can shake the bottle before each use so that it foams up.
Of course, dont forget to use soap nuts for your laundry. Your clothes will feel softer. Some helpful links::j

I have terrible problems with an itchy and irritated scalp (probably something to do with bleaching my hair blonder fo rthe last 24 years!), I no longer use any shampoo (or anything else) with Sodium Laurel/Laureth Sulphate in it, in fact I find it incredible that they put it in toothpaste and it's not against the law!!!
I generally do conditioner only washing but as I'm so imatient I rarely leave it to rest for more than a minute or two, the most important things are to use a really cheap conditioner (it won't have all the added components that would make your hair greasy without shampoo) and rinse rinse and rinse, when you think you've rinsed enough then rinse again!!!
As well as an itchy scalp I have terribly greasy hair and the two really don't go together, CO washing hasn't got rid of my itchy scalp completely - I think after dying my hair since the age of 14 the only thing that will stop it is to stop dying it and spend the rest of my life as a dull mousey haired person"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
I can second the CO recommendations! I have been washing my scalp with conditioner (no shampoo) for two years now, and my hair is SO much softer and shinier for it. I would NEVER go back to using shampoo. I tried shampooing again just once and my scalp began to burn and itch terribly. I had to get back into the shower and wash again with conditioner to soothe it back to normal!
I have thick, coarse, frizzy kind of hair, which tends to be on the dry side and tangle easily. I don't know how this would work for people with other hair types.0 -
Does anyone with greasy hair use the CO method? Hi, quick update; I've been using the CO method for nearly a month now and it works for me. I use Tesco Value condtioner for the 'wash' aspect and then use a richer one on the ends as a final condition. I started by using the apple cider vinegar rinse as reommended on the link but then I forgot that part and just used the condioners. I was pleasanly surprised to find that not only does my hair feel softer using this method but the colour seems to look better
( I can't explain that bit but I have a lot of natural red tones in my hair which can look quite brassy after normal shampooing, they seem toned down with the CO wash). I have shoulder length curly hair and it seems to be responding well, the curls are a little more 'relaxed' and the frizz seems lessened. To anyone thinking of trying this method, I'd say give it a go. Oh and it works out cheaper for me too as the Value conditioner is only 26p, much cheaper than shampoo :j

Not really a matter of bravery - I just don't think there's much info you can get from a pic!Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0
