How about a couple related to chores he doesnt do or doesnt like doing, Wash his car, Do you dishes, iron his shirts, let him watch the football in peace, etc etc

Thanks for the suggestions, I've just finished them - 14 in total, they aren't fantastic looking but I'm quite proud of them and I'm sure he'll appreciate them.

I'll be making a chocolate slab and chocolate hearts using a silicon ice cube tray, but might have to have a practice run 1st and then I can eat them before he sees ;) He adores Toblerone choc so I think I might attempt this cake too: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/softchocolatetoblero_67501.shtml

I told him to choose, me or her, and yesterday he moved into my new house with me, and he has just booked a trip to venice for valentines day!!!! Now all we have to do is get his now ex-girlfriend out of my other house (which she is refusing to do) and things will be great.

Good for you - I would just go round and kick her out - its your house after all and she has no legal right to be living there without your permission.

  • That's wierd, thoses chocs were £2.79 in my Asdas! No fair!

I wish I could think of somthing a bit unusual for my boyfriend, I'v brought some love coupons and a few naughty bits but would like something affectionate to go with it. He doesn't eat choc so a pot of love would be difficult, I did a food hamper for Christmas and he isn't very sentimental so a jar of love would go straight over his head! GRRRRR!

It's our anniversary next week and we're only doing little presents cos we've just come back from holiday so I'v made him an 'exploding box' with photos of the year which I'm quite proud of, and brought some lobster so planning on cooking a nice meal. So that's ok, it's just Valentines I'm stressing about!!

Melt in the middle chocolate cake - it sounds heavenly doesn't it?! I would've made it tonight but I don't have any Toblerone in and the paper shop was wanting a ridiculous amount for a tiny bar so I have decided to be good and save it for Valentines instead when I'll get the chance to find cheaper bars in town.

saw an idea tonight you know how lots are making the love vouchers , well if you get a single red rose peel down the petals write your love gesture on each petal and you and oh can pick a petal each if you get what i mean i dont think i can post the site i saw the idea on it was £3.50 to buy and thought i could buy that for 50p or so and some silver pen would do the trick :D

hope thats usefull to someone :D

Hi everyone - just discovered this thread - loving all the ideas!! Rainmac - loving that heart shaped dish!!

I've also done a 'pot of love' - thanks Rusty for the idea!!! Just used a normal plant pot and then covered in red metallic paper and a ribbon. I'm also doing a hamper - thought I was done but loads more ideas on here that have taken my fancy so I guess I'm still adding to it!! LOL!! Love the newspaper idea - will definitely be printing that off!! And the toblerone cake sounds fab - my OH loves toblerones - might try and make it in a heart shape! here are photos of what I've got so far...

Pot of Love - just need to wrap in cellaphane and make up a verse for tag:

Since taking these photos I have also got 'I love you' champagne marmite - actually got two as I inadvertently won two on Ebay!!! If anyone would like one please PM me as they are difficult to find in the shops now and I'm not sure my OH will get through 2 jars before June (expiry date!)...
