So do you think panel heaters with a single rate electricity would be better for me, with the hot water changed to instantaneous heat or to keep what I have and run the water heater over night on E7 and use panel heaters during the day?

I guess another option is the relatively new duoheat radiators that are a combination of the two. I wouln't want these in the bedrrom though as would be hot overnight and thats not good for sleeping. I could just put one panel heater in there though?!

the prices you are paying to heat your home it be cheaper to Install central heating... make some calls get some prices.. Get a loan. why pay more
  • Anyone know anything about electrical wiring?

If I get a panel heater installed and spur off of a plug socket which is on a DIFFERENT circuit into the fuse box as my other heaters will I be able to use a MBS controller to control all of them?

Just an update on my situation. After the 4th phone call to scottish power regarding my recent high bills they have finally realised that they have been charging me on a diff tariff. Despite me providing meter readings all this time with 2 readings, day and nite. they still were charging me at single rate. They are now readjusting my bills since june on an economy 7 rate. what a hassle.

That's good news! Hope it brings the bill down considerably.
