My 2009 Diary

Hope you guys don't mind me adding my Diary to this site, I have £8080 worth of debt, I have 2 children age 10 and 7 and I am a single mum. I live in my own house which I have a mortgage on. I work part time and I really want to clear most of my debts this year, I seen some of the Diary's on here and that inspired me to do it, with your help we can do anything i recon,
Well here goes-

Today I have checked my bank accounts
I have paid £2 off the 5 credit cards I have.
I have spent only 90p on library fines.
I have been trying to tidy my house from Christmas and Newyear,

I need to put some stuff in the attic but I need some planks anyone got any ideas what cheap wood I could use?

Also I need to start making a meal plan, As I do not want to buy food this month... I have a freezer full of Beef and Lamb and a cupboard full of food to use up. Any ideas what I could do with the beef and Lamb?

Happy Days xx

so I am going to use one of the note books now to write down how much I have spent so far this year.

Everything you spend goes in the book, be it for DD or for you.

Sorry, my mistake! Some people on here use DS and DD as (I think, as a non-parent) abbreviations for Darling Son and Darling Daughter. I thought you meant your daughter :rotfl:

So to answer what you were actually asking I put anything that isn't a regular Direct Debit in my spending diary :o
  • Today has been a NSD, We have eatten out of the cupboards and we also went for a lovely walk this afternoon in the woods, we collected some small twigs and sticks which we lit the fire with and I switched the heating off as the house is warm, I have had a leak under my sink!! so i got my dad round to fix it, good old dads hey! I then had to tidy under the sink, so I did that and the cupboards in my utility room, so I am now in the De-clutter mood..at least it stops me eating!!! i so need to lose weight!, I sat up till 2am this morning sorting my Budget for 2009, I have £250 to use to clear debts a month, thats if I get my CSA Payments as these have stopped since before xmas, I am going to try and spend only £120 a month on food thats for me a 10 year old dd and a 7 year old ds. I will try and only spend 80 a month on Fuel for the car... havent used the car today either!!
I am going to ring sky now and cancel it. My mobile is in contract for £35 a month, I am going to do my SOA now too.
I feel better about my Debts now just worried about what will happen if I dont get CSA anymore.
Thanks FF i kind of thought thats what you thought I ment, I havent got the hang on the MSE lingo yet !!

    Hi there,
Just wanted to say hello! I'm a single mum of 2 kids too - mine are girls of 11 and 9. I've been getting my finances sorted too and hope to pay about £200-£250 a month off my debts. I don't get a penny from my ex at the moment ( ) as he lost his job in August. He's been doing casual stuff but I've only seen £100 since last summer:eek: So I'm thinking I should go to the CSA now as I keep asking for money but he says he doesnt have any....he can still go out with the girlfriend tho'
Anyway, I'm much better off on my own, I know where my money goes and don't waste any anymore. I've been meal planning too and only buying what I need. I'd like to get our grocery budget down as mine is £200 and that's only for 3 of us, so must try harder there!

Anyway, keep posting....will subscribe to your diary:p
I really need to sort out a new signature!
