Hi FF, I'm a long-term lurker on your diary, just wanted to offer my sympathies over the Warcraft addiction. My OH was addicted for about three or four years and at one point I was playing it too just to speak to him. :rotfl:Ok it wasn't really that bad but it does get irritating!

Eventually he got fed up with it. :j

    Hello all
FF glad you still keeping your old diary up now you have started your new thread (where do you find all the time for everything you do?!) , I love reading yours! :T
Re slow cooker, I put mine on about 8.30 a.m. in the morning (always on low) and it's ready for us coming in after 5.00 p.m but fine to eat even at 6.00 or 6.30 p.m. If I put on at lunchtime, say for 4 hours I do it on high, but low all day is perfect. As FF would say nom nom nom "burp"! :rotfl:LOL

welcome to the world of slow cooking! mine is going great guns today with a huuuuuuge batch of chili - all destined for the freezer. i portion it into individual servings so when DH says, i'm going to be late, i'll get a pizza i can shout - don't! we've got chili tonight! very cheap, so easy, so yummy.

i see you've found the "what's in my slow cooker" thread. (was going to post the link when saw your post there!). some great ideas on there.

for what it's worth, mine has 2 settings - low and high. the chili will be on low for about 12 hours today (8.30am - approx 8.30pm) so my "secret" ingredients (red lentils, mainly), dissolve nicely. low all day is fine. i wouldn't leave it on high all day but it's great for times when you don't bung everything in until lunchtime.

    have fun!
Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !

You've all made my mind about whether to buy a slow cooker or not - thank you! Can you post a link to the 'OS' board for me please? I don't know what OS stands for, but it sounds like i need to know :p

OS is Old Style and it's brilliant! I bought mine the other day in tesco for under a tenner and used it today and I've just eaten what I made in it today - gorgeous!

I don't know how to post a forum link but scroll down the main page and look for the 'Old Style Moneysaving' board.

OS is the Old Style Money Saving board, it's on the list of forums (On my sh*tty laptop at the moment - will take aaaages for me to change page and link it!)

It's very addictive, but you will learn LOADS from the various threads. I lost two hours last night looking at recipes!
