  • Echeques are when you only have a current account attached to your paypal account. Paypal wait until they have received the money from your current account and then they will clear the echeque. If you have a credit card attached Paypal know they can take the money from your ccard if it doesn't clear your current account. Hope that makes sense. I agree with Laura - don't post until you receive the cleared money!

All of my Ebay problems are now sorted:

Broken Mug Girl sent me a picture of the item (Sodding Royal Mail) and I have refunded her the full amount of her purchase as it really wasn't her fault. I got the following feedback:Really excellent ebayer. Great service after problem with postage - v impressed

    *pride*

eCheque Girl didn't know her card had expired and when I told her payment wouldn't clear till the 25th - 29th she was quite upset as she wanted the items for her holidays. I cancelled the cheque and she has now paid properly so it can be dispatched today and I will hopefully have another happy customer. Thanks to all of you who helped with this!

My latest lot of Ebay money arrived this morning, so £46.88 has been paid out now - £20 to my Redundancy/Loan fund and £26.88 back into my Instant Access Savings which I use to top the Redundancy Account up. Oh Sh*t I'm Redundant Fund is now at £500! I don't think I have ever had £500 in savings that I haven't broken into for something else *more pride*

    Money

£24.05 in my Spends account, £14.05 is an uncleared cheque and will go to PAD when it's cleared
    £14.53 in my PAD account
    £9.59 in Groceries account
    £10 in my purse

I'm trying to keep things nice and simple for the rest of the week until payday on Tuesday. I have eaten lunch at work twice this week instead of bringing food with me, so home-made lunch from now on. The groceries budget will hopefully last until then, but it's touch and go given how much milk we drink...!

Nothing else to report really, hope you are all well :D

Good luck with getting it sorted with Royal Mail as they are generally a pain in the bum, hopefully they don't give you all the compensation in stamps either or you will have to do lots of posting in future.

I would be happy with stamps as compensation as that always comes in handy at Christmas :D
F_F - ah man, I missed the doughnuts.

You are so organised cash wise. I am still really bad and need to get my head around my pennies and get a spreadsheet or something going.

There are always virtual doughnuts in this thread, help yourself! I'm working late tonight but can send you on my spreadsheet later if you PM me :D
building work rumbles on here, so close to the end but still dragging on. getting thoroughly fed up with it all now, to be honest (ungrateful i know, but just want to get back to "normal").

How close to the end are you now? You should post a wee picture when it's all done so you can beam with pride :D

I really like this "multi-quote" button which seems to have arrive unannounced!

And very well you do to be proud of yourself for having a "!!!!!! I'm redundant" fund! I'm proud of my savings too, although strictly speaking they're not actually savings seeming how they were given to me. Maybe I should call them not-spendings.

    Evening F_F

:T:T you sound as if you have been a super ebayer

Rubbish about lunch, I always wonder what happened to it do they just throw it away? At least you got to go to M&S as that is always yummy.
