Hi all,

Dentists appointment out of the way and hopefully I won't have to see the woman again until my next check up :j

Nothing else to report really - I am about to begin budgeteering as my payslip is available to view now. I have just booked a hotel for November when we go to see Skunk Anansie - £19 through the Travelodge sale which was really good. It's near town and near the venue, hurrah! We (Me and best mate) are going to get our Christmas shopping done before the gig then head to the hotel for a snooze, and at £9.50 each it works out quite well for us!

I'm going to be buying more concert tickets tomorrow hopefully - Faith No More!!!! I cannot really put my excitement into emoticon form :j They are playing five minutes from my house in a venue that only holds about 3000 people. Woo! Tickets are on sale tomorrow for £30+ (Eek!) and I am buying them. WOOOOOOO!!!! Still, spending £70 on tickets for me and OH isn't too bad - last year I spent over £120 to go to T in the Park for the day to see Rage Against The Machine :rotfl:

I need tea. Back later!

Feel I should point out that the cute dentist I referred to previously wasn't my own dentist, but the nice one from the dental hospital :rotfl:

:TThanks for saying about the Faith No More gig as I didn't know it was happening, OH is a huuuugggggge fan so he will be pressing refresh lots tomorrow morning in an attmept to get tickets along with trying to get tickets for Biffy Clyro that also go on sale tomorrow.

Hi F_F! Random question- how do you pronounce 'Slainte' (imagine the accent on the a cos I don't know how to put them on! )

LOL - I can do the pronouncing thing, but am going to leave it to someone far more practised than myself to try to write it down!!

Good luck with the tickets FF - I'll cross my fingers for you to get them OK. So far as the "future employment" thing goes - two things that are on my list should I ever need to think about it are Health & Safety officer with the HSE, and Highways Agency motorway patrol.

Evening all!

Going to be posting a lot over the weekend as Mr Fresian has Gone North for a funeral and will be gone for a week

Still, like any good MSE person, I have plans of Decluttering with Intent (Ebay!) while he's away, so that should keep me busy.

Got my Faith No More tickets (As per previous post!) so I'm very happy about that, and they were £85 for three which isn't bad to be honest. The extra money in my current account shall pay for that when payday arrives!

£29.86 in Spends account, but going to send most of this to PAD I think! My cheque from MusicMagpie is cleared now (Woo!) but I do have the credit card to clear, and I could send at least the £9.86 to that I suppose....

Credit card

Balance is £34.02 at the moment, so I have paid off most of the stuff I bought this month (Fringe tickets and Skunk Anansie)
Faith No More tickets will go on to it shortly, so I am going to have to pay at least £100 right out of my wages onto the card. Fine.

On the bright side, I still have money to collect from Best Friend for Skunk Anansie, hotel for this and some Fringe tickets, so I may actually end up with the card in credit :rotfl:

Costco

A really good friend is moving to Edinburgh and we were thinking of getting a Costco card so that we could buy cheap things in bulk. It's worth it for me in the saving on cat litter alone :rotfl: How do we join, does anyone know? As we work for a Big Bad Bank, is that enough or do we have to own our own businesses? All help would be gratefully received!
