hi
also dont forget with you being at the gym youve been working those muscles, and muscles weigh heavier than fat, but you need muscle to burn the fat so dont feel too disheartned with your clothes feeling looser i guess thats wahts happened!
keep up the gym (make sure you dont leave that gym until your sweating lol)0 -
Hello everone and can I please join your group, you seem to have done really well and have lots of knowledge between you. I do have a question before I start -
I am desperate to lose weight and need to start NOW, I am just under 15 stone and feeling so fat and unhealthy, yet I can't stop eating junk. I just eat between meals constantly, instead of meals.
I have tried a celebrity slim coffee shake and liked it, and will now go and get a weeks worth today, but just wondered if I get the Alli tablets that get rid of some of the fat you eat, would this speed things up more? Has anyone tried this?
I am a bit worried about the extra meal as I am vegeterian, so its harder to eat high protein. Guess I'll have eggs and quorn, but hard not to eat carbs. Can I have cous cous?
thanks very much0 -
hi sunflower, welcome!!
I looked into using Alli before i start CS and read terribly reviews online about them, basically grown adults not making it to the toilet as often as everyday, Almost all of the posts said they were unbearable and couldn't be used if people had any commitments other than sitting near a tiolet!
The nice thing about CS is that you can eat between your shakes, I love having either 30g of cheese or 30g of nuts, I feel naughty having them and its a nice change to veg and fruit!
I'm not sure about cous-cous but I'm sure there are reciepes using Quorn on the offical CS website.
Hope this kind of helps lol!
Thanks guys for your messages, I have just been 'told off' by one of the MODs on the offical site, basically saying I've put my body into starvation mode because I havent been having my breakfasts shakes this week (I just havent been hungry) They've said that I must have them otherwise I will just store everything and put on weight...Theres me thinking I was saving calories not having it actually not, looks like ive done more harm, hopefully now I know I will be able to turn the end of week 3 around! Fingers crossed for a loss on Saturday's weigh-in!
:-)

hello sunflower, celebrity slim is quite low fat anyway so i assume that taking the alli tablets would be a waste of money and it may cause additional problems as the diet is quite well balanced and because of that it works, using a fat blocker like alli more than likely would cause problems in maintaining your diet or just problems in your overall wellbeing,my advice is not to bother. You lose well with Cs and if you lost wieght too quickly you could make yourself ill.Give it a week or two and you will see that its not worth using anything else.I lost 7lbs in my first week by sticking ridgedly to Cs.Im sure too that i noticed some other vegies posts from earlier on,take a look and you might find more advice.Cous cous would be a no no as its too high in carbs.Look in the low carb forums too ,they have loads of recipes,i just madelow carb peanut butter cookies which were yumm and planning on making the crustless quiche tonite.
Good luck, ill be back with a(fingers crossed )good wieghloss tommorow. All I can do is be me, whoever that is

Hi....I started Celebrity slim a week ago.............Started off well, however struggled with feeling hungry a lot of the time as was unsure about snack sizes, therefore was only having small amounts for them.
I start off my days well, then as the day progresses I feel that i need to have something sweet and have 'cheated' on a few occasions. Am really cross with myself as after only 5 days i managed to get back into my size 12 jeans that i haven't been able to wear for 2 years. Just don't seem to have the willpower to stop having junk.
Am interested to know how you all motivate yourselves. ....... I would love to lose 2 stones and i know that i could do it on this diet if only i could stick to it..........
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks xxx0 -

yorkshirepud, while ur getting used to it (1st week or so) do have extra for snacks (it does take some getting used to)at nights i would have a larger snack than ur supposed to,i would have some nuts, cherries and a little yoghurt just because thats my snacking and eating crap time and tbh i needed it at first.think about when u nibble most and have ur larger snack then like a small plate of beetroot ,a slice of ham and a little cheese or as i said above check out the low carb support thread for some sweet but low carb recipes and try them in moderation...i only had two peanut butter cookies with my coffee:D:D how good am i?:A(<<deserves my wings back !!)

Hi KatieCub,
Even tho you haven't lost any weight have you lost any inches? As with what you have said about going to the gym you make have just gained a bit of muscle. And muscle weighs more than fat.
The only think i can say is when you are at the gym make sure you are doing a lot of cardio and a little bit of toning up.
Hope this helps

Thanks for that Gem, I know that muscle ways more and I'm hoping thats why...I haven't kept track of inches since I start so I couldnt really do it now and no if it was different or not...I feel healthier but I dont know if I feel thinner, if that makes sense??Weight Loss To Date: 10lbs :j0
