    Hey Shoegal

I'm so jealous a week off work, I spent my last week of work shovelling overgrown garden into a skip, just 3 days so not all week

If I known you had a week off you could have done it for us, great for the waist and thighs

I met the man of my dreams when I least expected it, I was out with friends having a good giggle and he was a friend of one of the friends I was out with, hit it off straight away and 6 years later he cons me into filling skips - what an evil plan by him :rotfl:

Have a great week, do the boring stuff first, then the essential stuff, then the pampering, then all the fun stuff

But NO shopping, this is not a week off work so you can INCREASE your debt

Is that last sentance to harsh

    Hi Buffy, thanks :A

I know that everybody is right but we both know it can be hard to be objective when you are in the middle of the situation

Have had a good night's sleep -10 hours  so I probably needed it! Going to try to make a start on a few things on my big list in a minute then off to my Mum's later :D

    Hi Radish, thanks :A

No -the last sentance wasn't too harsh, I need somebody to remind me!

I am feeling a bit more positive, and less hungover :o, today so am going to make a start on my list

Know what you mean about not spending and I promise no big splurges but I think I am going to treat my self to a few 'housey' things as a reward for a major declutter. I have some pictures I bought in Madrid last September still without frames :o so would like to get a few bits like that

So far I have managed to go to the gym - and have now come to a grinding halt :o

Oooh - I managed to buy a top in Asda too :o Only £10 though and I do need a few work things, most of my work stuff is starting to look really tired :D

Onviously, am not feeling very motivated

A few house items after your huge de-clutter would be worthwhile, if you get some frames you could put up the pictures and imprint ino your head

No debt = holidays to places like this (or something else)

I'm trying to think of something that would give you some motivation each time you see it

Anyway - chop chop, 2 days of your holiday gone

    Hey Shoegal

    Totally sympathise with your situation.

Last Summer I was totally into this guy and I really thought there was lots of chemistry and it was so hard to let it go as it was clear that 'he just wasn't that into me' but I didn't want to believe it!

Keep on with your fab plans for your week off - it sounds brilliant.

Can I recommend Ikea for frames if you have one near you - I bought a couple recently, good value and really striking.

Onwards and upwards and all that.

PS Sarah, HollyB & Buffy's advice is all really great and so true.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Thanks makeup :A

I have had some really good advice, and I know it is all true. If anything good has come of the situation it has made me realise that I do want somebody in my life and I have to get into the frame of mind to do something about it

In a way that's what this weeks plans are about, I think the first thing I need is a confidence boost. I know it's a bit shallow and vain but my confidence is really tied to my looks, and I have to feel good about myself first

Not sure if I'm ready for the internet dating scene  but am getting into the accept every invitation, you don't know who you might meet frame of mind :D Not that good for the debt busting but I have always thought that you still have to have a life as well as debt busting

And thanks for the Ikea tip - I love that shop but I always come out with loads of stuff l didn't know l 'needed' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I know exactly what you mean.

I can never get to the ones near me so going there is a real treat. My parents took me earlier this Summer.

Luckily - for my bank balance - my Dad wasn't too into browsing so as we were walking through the store I had to scan the shelves while I went, surprisingly managed not to bump into anyone!

I did ask for a stop off in kitchenware though and managed to pick up a couple of bits - my mum was a good partner in crime for that one!

Re: internet dating, I'm way too chicken to try it but a couple of friends have done so with good success. Also good for just going on dates and feeling like there are options...

Need to get much braver before l try it  am too worried that l would get chatting to somebody and then we would meet and they would go 'yuck' :o Think l would prefer meeting 'real' people then there are no nasty surprises for them - attractive l'm not
