Got my £340 charges refund from Monument - went straight to the DCA. Would have been nice to get a cheque, but it has reduced my overall debt

Need to get much braver before l try it  am too worried that l would get chatting to somebody and then we would meet and they would go 'yuck' :o Think l would prefer meeting 'real' people then there are no nasty surprises for them - attractive l'm not

I totally agree with you on this ShoeGal. I just would not have the nerve to meet someone. I would be fine chatting online but I just would not be able to do the meeting bit. I have visions of someone going to the bar to get a drink and never returning. Or just politely chatting but quite clearly being desperate to leave. At least if I meet them in real life they know what they are getting. God, why can't this be easier?icon9.gif

Thought it was only me that felt like that :o My confidence seems to be at an all time low at the moment. Maybe as l get older and get more knock backs it's harder to recover each time

I seem to have really lost my way at the moment so l think it's time for a bit of a re-focus

    Money
Have just about got out of August alive which is not too bad considering I've had so much on socially but won't manage to pay off my Barclaycard or make any sort of overpayment. September is looking to be a quieter month so l must recoup a bit
    • control food spend
    • coins in piggy
    • try to sell my engagement ring and some unwanted gold
    • cancel gym membership
    • reduce mobile contract
    • no random spending
My first target is to clear my Barclaycard then focus on my overdraft. However l have MOT in September, car insurance in October and tax in November and nothing saved :o so l think progress will be slow

lt is just over 7 weeks until my birthday so time for a 7 week body blitz  l have £175 in vouchers with which to treat myself to a new outfit at the end of my plan :D, 16th October

Plan is to lose a stone, current weight is 11st 4lbs so target is 10st 4lbs

    Plan is
    • no snacks
    • no weekday drinking
    • no weekday desserts
together with regular exercise  l intend to cancel my gym membership, l don't use it enough to justify the cost and it's just something else to beat myself up about  Therefore l have to motivate myself to use DVD's and get a walking plan

All this is to be backed up with regular, low spend beauty treats. Face packs, deep conditioners, body creams etc. I have quite a collection to use up - a regular routine is required

I will update my diary regularly, feel free to nag me :D
