    Hi - back again!

Anyway, am here for a bit of a kick in the proverbial! (gonna post this on my diary thread too!) I have defo been concentrating on work far too much in the last few weeks to the extent that I forgot my nephew's birthday this week and I feel terrible! Besides that, most of my friends think I've died, I've put on weight, exercise - what exercise!, meal planning, budgeting etc have all gone out of the window :o

This week I really need to calm down on the work front and balance out my life a bit - come on, advice please!

  • Is it possible for you to walk or cycle to work? That would help on the exercise front. If not, maybe you could try making it a goal to once a week walk somewhere that you'd normally drive. That is, if you have a car in the first place (I'm presuming here, never a good idea :o).

    Hi

I do drive but I live over 30 miles from work so it's not really practical, but I like the idea of walking another timw when I usually drive, maybe when I usually go to my Mum's on a Sunday - I think it's about 2 miles

    Hello Shoegal.

I work on a shoe department, it's a good job you don't work with me then :rotfl: .
I never used to buy many shoes, but since last May, I think I've bought 18 pairs, . Might put some on Ebay as some were impulse buys.

Enjoyed reading your diary, will keep popping by.

    This is my plan
    • Monday - leave work on time, make a massive list and return all my friends emails/calls
    • Tuesday - leave work on time and EXERCISE
    • Wednesday - leave work on time and do nothing - me time!
    • Thursday - work late if I need to so I can take Friday as a lieu day
    • Friday - all my weekend jobs, cleaning, banking etc
    • Weekend - all mine!!!!
I will keep you updated, I am relying on you all to nag me into keeping on track!

He, he - my dream job and worst nightmare rolled into one! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have only bought one pair so far this year, beautiful red patent platforms, but I ruined some suede boots in the snow the other day so I can feel a replacement coming on! :o :rotfl: :o :rotfl:

    Hi Everybody

Suffice to say I didn't acheive anything on my list or stick to my plan - not going to do a detailed update, enough said

However, I am feeling quite positive. My event at work has now finished and I have received some really good feedback at board level so I am really chuffed. I also received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the sales team to say 'thanks', I was really touched

Need to get back on track with everything else now. I've been thinking that I gave so much commitment into my job/event over the last 5 weeks I obviously do have the ability to commit to soemthing and achieve a goal. That means it's now time to dedicate that commitment to 'project me'!

    Plans for this week
    • tidy apartment and get up-to-date with all household jobs
    • lose 3lbs
    • exercise 3 times
Really going to try to get on track with dieting and exxercise, feeling quite run down and washed out after all the big meals and late nights, really need a boost

I'm off into town now, treating myself to a pedicure, and going to get some vitamins and a couple of beauty treats to set me on my way

Will keep updated with my progress

Not a particularly good start to my new regime. Have lazed around for most of the day, reading, watching footie etc

Haven't got any jobs done, done any exercise or stopped eating!

Starting in earnest tomorrow. Family party on 21st March so my target is to lose 10lbs by then

    Monday's list
    • work by 8.30
    • salad for lunch
    • exercise
    • fish and salad for dinner
Bought some vitamins today, and some skincare stuff -ready for the new me!

I planned to do lots of jobs around the house on Sunday but decided my DS Lite was far more entertaining

Ended up making lasagna (for the freezer) at about 8.00 last night and washing up during the adverts breaks, but it's quite surprising how much you can do during an ad break, so might do some mini tidy ups tonight whilst watching

I'm keeping my beady eye on you :rotfl:
