Thanks Lemon Tree, Radish, Makeup and Compingirl, for all your support and ideas

Been to the gym and done my shopping/meal plan so feel I can chill out a bit now. Just having achieved what I set myself to do today has already made me feel better

    Baby steps every day now

    Shoe Gal xx :)

its funny my o/draft is also something i worry about, i've always had the policy of trying to change the limit before the annual review happens. Thankfully at the moment i'm reducing it every month but for a long time it was either going up or only reducing by £50 each year. I should be finished with it this year which i can't wait for, i know it's irrational but i've been so scared about it since i started reading peoples stories of how it was cancelled without notice.

Just got back from my Mum's, had a lovely Sunday roast

Feeling a bit more positive now. I'm going to get my stuff ready for work in a minute, find something to wear and iron it (!) instead of my usual running round in the morning. I'm intending to be in early so I can get a head start and hopefully not have to work so late

I'm not naturally a 'morning person' but I intend to try and get into the habit, it would be good to free up some time in the evening. My job allows me to start earlier and finish earlier

Here's to a better week!

    Hey Shoegal!

How is your week going so far??

Did you manage to get into work early. That is one of my New Years Resolutions, I'm lucky in that I have flexi-time so can start work any time between 7.30am and 10am (depending on what is in my diary of course) but I only live 10 mins by bike from work and so often I don't start til 9.30am. It is fine in terms of my boss etc and I work enough hours but I should really manage to get in before 9am!!!! then I could leave earlier, or work to my normal time but build up some flexi-leave!!!

Of course today I scraped in just in time at 10am on the dot!!!! :o
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    :j a better week all round :j

Still been manic at work but have got everything up-to-date today. Have had some lovely compliments this week about the job I'm doing so feeling much more positive. Still nothing definate on the redundancy issue but the 'feeling' seems to be that I'll be safe - so fingers crossed

    And so to the list!
    • lose 2lbs - done
    • meal plan and stick to it - whoops!
    • 3 NSD's - 2 so not too bad!
    • 3 exercise sessions -only managed one!
    • sort out electricity bill - done
    • organise work hours - whoops!
A couple of things achieved so not too bad. I did say that I would prioritise work at the moment so I'm not disappointed that I haven't managed the exercise and DFW targets

Been invited to the first night dinner of the event I've been organising tomorrow so have that to look forward to - and it'll be no spending too! :j

Next week is still going to be busy so am setting myself a manageable list!
    • lose 2lbs
    • 2 NSD's
    • 2 exercise sessions
    • meal plan and stick to it
Here's to a succesful week - payday next Friday! :j

Ok, lets get the list out of the way first
    • lose 2lbs - no,stayed the same
    • 2 NSD's - Yes!!!!
    • 2 exercise sessions - no!!!
    • meal plan and stick to it - no!
ok, now I've go the failures out of the way, here's the good news - my job is not being made redundant :j :j such a relief, I feel that it has been hanging over me for weeks

Got paid yesterday, just about got out of January alive. Had to increase my Barclaycard by £60.00 but that was for my Mum's bithday, not just essentials spending and haven't paid anything off my overdraft but did manage to make more than minimum payment on my Cap1 card

As for February, work is still going to be very busy and as I have lost somebody from the department there is going to be quite a lot of pressure on me. With this in mind I'm going to set a few targets for the month but no set myself up to fail. I've got a few social things on too so don't want to be unrealistic

    February goals
    • lose 5lbs
    • start to exercise
    • pay £50 off overdraft
    • prioritise work
    • 8 NSD's
So, here's the list for this week
    • lose 1lb
    • exercise twice
    • 3 NSD 's
Low-key list this week cos I am still involved with my work event so not point in setting too many challenges

Am at a work dinner tonight so I need to get off the sofa and get a few things done! Need to clean/tidy my apartment, find something to wear tonight and get my stuff together. Need to leave at 3 o'clock so time to get a wriggle on! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It's been another manic week, work is still really busy and has been made worse this week by the weather

To get last week's list out of the way
    • lose 1lb - no, have put 2lbs on
    • exercise twice - no
    • 3 NSD 's - no, but did manage 2
Will have one more busy week at work and then things should be more 'normal' although I'm not sure what that is any more now that my colleague has been made redundant

Have been so busy this week that I forgot my nephew's birthday, which I feel awful about. I really need to get more organised, I feel terrible

    This weeks list
    • lose 2lbs
    • exercise twice
    • organise papework/post etc
    • contact all the friends I've ignored whilst I've been busy
    • 3 NSD's
I am so tired at the moment not really sure if I feel good, bad or indifferent  Just going to get through this week and then regroup a bit and draw up some plans and targets to take me up to Easter

    Hey Shoegal

Welldone on 2 nsd's - I struggle to manage one. I think you have be really organised to get them done.

Good luck for your week ahead at work.

I'm sure your nephew will forgive you....it can get so hard to remember everyone's b'days - I know I need one of those birthday books.....

I have everyones birthday set up in my Outlook calendar at work (with a 2 week reminder). If you set it up as a yearly occurance you dont have to remember to do it each year.
    Mortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0
