Feels like ages since I last posted

Spent last weekend away for a beer festival, so spend 3 days drinking lots of beer, huge fried breakfasts and having a lovely time, I did resist the ice cream but it all took it toll and I'm now back to being obese :rotfl: cruel world that you are

Then for my b'day BF took me to the Zoo where I did partake in an huge ice cream and fish and chips for tea, so back to being healthy again for the next few weeks

Only 4 weeks till holiday :j can't wait to get some sun and chill out

No news on either house, but my shed is now demolished and currently residing at the tip, new one being delivered Wednesday, currently pondering about the fence panels, never ending money pit that it is. Would some broken panels but you off buying a house?

Made an OP so when tomorrows mortgage payment goes out I will have a mortgage starting with a 12
    Mortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0
    ISA challenge start 2019 £3000/£1500 (50%)

I think it might put me off...but i'm weird! Just wondering if something like that might make prospective purchasers think general maintence is not kept up....even thouh it is only fence panels, could read more into it.

    TPAx

PS, I would be quite happy to just be obese on the NHS calculator, actually i may have put my height in wrong, I put in 5 foot 7 when of course i'm actually 9 foot 8 !!:rotfl:

  • Hey Radish! :)
Beer festival sounds good wouldnt worry too mcuh about "categories" as sometimes holidays do that! youll be back to beating me on wt loss in no time! (ps I have lost 1.5 since starting the 6 lb challenge what about a month or so ago? :rotfl:)

re; the fence panels, have to agree with TPA its not the panels per se that would bother me but the idea that the same could apply to other "invisible" part of the house- boiler, wiring etc.. (if that makes sense) could BF /you do something easily enough to fix/repair them?

So decision made I'm getting new fence panels (oh the excitement) just not sure when. Got one quote that was a good price, but he is now on holiday for 2 weeks, another guy coming on Tuesday. Shed delivered so currently sitting on patio in pieces, as need the fence doing first before the shed can go back. Luckily no-one wants to view my house :rotfl:

BF has two viewing this week, Mon and Wed, so we are back to frantically cleaning the house, currently it looks like a launderette as he hasn't kept up with washing/ironing. Plus I have been under the bed and pulled some stuff out for him to sort out (throw/re-cycle) so he is having a mini breakdown at the mo but why does anyone need 3 computer bags for 1 computer and a desk calendar from 2008

Have had a "doing" week this week, all the little jobs you just never get round to doing, so now have a fixed watch, shorter hair, slummy jars counted and paid off mortgage (£70 :)), food made for freezer meals, birthday cards bought for the next few months

OMG I have released a demon, he has sorted through some clothes as well, including some that I bought him, so I'm off to sulk now :rotfl:

Enjoy the BH weekend, the sun has just come out here, not been seen since Wed

    On BF house
Monday viewing didn't bother to turn up
Wednesday viewing, put an offer in Thursday :), we excepted Friday :j they pulled out last thing Saturday  due to the amount of maintenance the garden needs :(

So back to square 1 again after feeling a wee bit depressed last night but we do have a mortgage appointment to see if we can port BF mortgage over and how much we can borrow if we move with only 1 house sold

Yesterday seemed to be a total waste due to all the rain but today the sun has been shining, so shed up, just need to plane the door so its fits as its not square, front garden has had mini make over, some new plants and purple stone put down, to make it look pretty (hopefully stop cats using it as a toilet)

Washing done and ironed, big pan of chili made (needs portioning up for the freezer), toilet fixed as this decided to break Thur night, not good having your hands inside a toilet (I know its clean water but it doesn't feel right) trying to sort it out, luckily only the seal needed replacing

Really need to cut grass, stain shed, vacuum house but just can't be bothered, think I'll put it all off till tomorrow

Hopefully new fence will be done this week as well :)

  • Sounds like plenty is keeping you busy. It is hard when neither of you have had luck selling. I hope it changes for you soon.

    Not much to report

Mortgage appointment was a complete waste of time, he used the on-line calculator to tell us how much we could borrow without selling either house, as we haven't thought of that ourselves, Now need to wait for another appointment with a different person as we are a bit complicated

    New fence in :)
    Lost 2lb this week:T

:j 3 more work days to HOLIDAY :j
