:A How I have fallen in love with the NHS :A
Think I had a mini break down on TPA diary about my dad having a bad fall in the street last month.
Thankfully my mum made my dad go and have a full medical check up at the Dr's where he got prodded and poked a lot and they took lots of blood of him
Results came back with high levels of PSE and low levels of platelets, which could have been caused by prostrate cancer. So in the space of 4 weeks my dad has been examined, had a ultrasound, biopsy, more blood tests and a lovely Dr sat us all down and explained what the outcome could be.
Yesterday, my dad got told that he is ok, he doesn't have cancer just a very large prostrate, which he been given tablets for to see if it will reduce. And now they have him on record, he just needs to go back every 6 months for a blood test to check everything is still ok
So Radish after spending many times over the last few weeks "having a moment" as my BF kept saying when I stood in front of him in tears and very snotty, is a very happy little beanMortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0

Thanks you for all your best wishes, it really has been a weight on my mind over the last few weeks
Also made me think about who I told, as I mainly kept it all to myself, which has me wondering why. Must be a billy-no-mates :rotfl:
But have paid into my ISA another £1700, although I keep calling this money my pension (granny's on tour fund), I do wonder if I should just pay it of the mortgage but its in the bank now on rubbish interest as I forgot to move it this year
Counted slummy £75 and paid that off the mortgage, fed up with bank people asking if I'm sure I want to pay it off the mortgage
Has a look at spreadsheet now have the following stats
Daily interest rate at under £2.35
Mortgage under £25K
And if I can pay off an extra £40 by December 20th I will own half my houseThink I will own downstairs (as its bigger) and the bank can own upstairs

And if they wanted to view it you could charge them access rightsA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

:A Why I love the NHS - part 2 :A
So yesterday my poor dad collapsed again, this time in the Dr's receptionist (coudn't have planned that better) where he had gone for the results of his blood test to see if they could find a reasons why he has been puffed all the time since he collapsed in the street
All 3 Dr's came out to him, turns out his heart was beating at 160 beats/minute. My mum said that you could see it beating like mad in his chest
So he was whizzed off to hopital , where he spent 9 hours being prodded and poked. They can hear a murmur in his heart and now he has to wait to have an ECG, as they think that the "left branch is blocked"
Hospital convinced now that this why he collapsed the first time, and have given him lots of heart medication to take
So in the space of 6 weeks, he's gone from being "a healthy old man" to "a old man on 4 lots of medicine"
So now back to more test and waiting for resultsMortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0
