Also when step change submit is it just the application of is it also all the supporting documents that go to the insolvency practitioner?
I may seem impatient but I started this before lockdown. Then left it only to pick things back up in June and it’s been 5 solid months getting to this stage. I hope it’s worth the wait!
The general pattern is
intermediary presses submit
next day - DRO Team does basic checks ( fee paid, credit file, insolvency register)*
next day - dro approved emails to intermediary and all creditors
next day - entry appears on register
*If the £90 fee not paid they will continue to check for it for 10 working days, then reject the application.
As long as the fee is paid there is 99% chance that this will go through OK.0 -
It's surprisingly quick. I recently entered a DRO and my process was:
- Submitted by Stepchange on Friday.
- Received acceptance email from Insolvency Service on following Wednesday.
- DRO was on Insolvency register and credit file the next day.

Hi, I applied for a DRO last November 2019, so is due to be completed on 25th November 2020. I have just been offered a full time position which will increase my pay. This will not effect my wages until 28th November, so do I still need to inform my OR?Thank you in advance for any replies
